It was really fun exploring all the different parts of the palace. The views from the courtyards are absolutely beautiful, and it was really interesting learning about the variety of rooms and their uses. One of the must-sees is a gigantic diamond which has many tiny diamonds surrounding it. It is one of the biggest diamonds and amazing to see. The other is the armory room. Weapons in this room were unbelievably large, we were trying to figure out how they were used in battle!

A tip for visitors: go directly to the Harem part at your left hand side on the entrance. It is quite amazing place to visit.

If visiting Istanbul, Top Kapi is a must. one of the best places of the Ottoman era ... the more time you spend there, the more you will appreciate it. 3 to 4 hours will be good to cover everything plus having a short coffee break (some nice cafés are available)

Very nice place. It might be only reason to visit Istanbul after Hagia Sophia. It costs 15 TL.
