A former All-American in both high school (Lawrenceville) and college (Hobart), he was named New Jersey Player of the Year in 1989 and the NCAA Attackman of the Year in 1993. He was part of two National Championship teams at Hobart in 1991 and 1993. As a international, college, high school and youth coach since 1994 he has lead his teams to many championships. He is known for his caring yet intense style of coaching that has resulted in many accomplishments of which he is proud. He is focused and direct and coaches with high energy but is most proud of his record of college placement, Academy system and C.A.S.E. initiative.
Cabell founded Madlax in 1996 and since then he has helped over 375 young men achieve their dream of playing college lacrosse in D1, D2 or D3 through his Madlax-Capital All-Stars program. He looks forward to helping the new regional Madlax all-star programs create similar success in Florida and California and future sites nationally. He has founded and coached numerous camps, clinics and tournaments in four states that have positively impacted boys and girls that are beginners to expert levels. In 2010 he started the C.A.S.E. (character-attitude-success-effort) initiative which teaches life lessons through elite lacrosse. It is a complete character development program and has resulted in stronger chemistry, greater accountability and improved play by players and his Madlax teams. All players in Madlax-Capital attend a CASE camp each June that sets the framework and makes a lasting impression.
