Well. I guess it's nice to know that even though we have some of the worst traffic in the country around here, we're small potatoes compared to the rest of the world?

I know this feel:
"And that's when it happened. I scented it on the air before I saw it. Pizza. Bad pizza. Pizza that belonged to the grand tradition of bad pizzas that are nonetheless still completely lovable."

Belovèd Spousal Unit can attest to the fact that only a couple of weeks ago, I smelled cheap pepperoni while we were out, and immediately announced my craving specifically for bad pizza! I'm glad to know that I am not the only one in the world for whom love of bad pizza is a thing! ;D

Did you catch the release of the sock blanks last week? Curious about what a sock blank is? It's a knitted length of fabric, dyed, that you can start unraveling and working on from one end. That's right, you knit or crochet directly from the fabric, rather than wind a skein into a center-pull ball first! These limited edition lovelies are dyed in a gradient; darker on one end, going to lighter in the middle, and back to dark at the other end. So fascinating!

Good advice.

This is no way to live. Literally. We’re only 17 days in, and people are already exhausted by it. Trump hasn’t invaded any countries (yet), but he’s certainly invaded our minds and hearts. As Kevin Baker wrote in Politico, “thanks to social media, and to the nature of our new president and his administration, politics is suddenly with us always, in every aspect of our lives, including wherever we may look for diversion.”

And that’s not healthy. There is — as our president might say — a tremendous mountain that shows that when we live in an ongoing state of outrage, anxiety, fear and stress, it wreaks an awful toll on our physical and mental health. It’s not sustainable. And there is another way.
