Amazing hotel. The customer service is second to none. I traveled with my two dogs and they provided beds and treats. The room was spacious and up to date. Everything I asked the staff handled promptly. I've stayed at other kimpton hotels but this one is the standard. I cannot speak to parking because I had valet included with my room but street parking seemed limited.

My mom and I stayed at the Hotel Madera in the Spring of 2009 and had a wonderful experience. The staff were really great and the place was very close to the metro. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel at home. The hotel is not much to look at from the outside, but the rooms inside are exceptional and large. I would stay again for sure.

Stayed last April four nights at Madera and was satisfied with the room and it´s location. Room was large and clean and we even had a nice balcony. Room has got everything you´ll need: housebar. nice shower and tv and between 5 and six p.m. a free glass of wine. Staff was very friendly (sometimes too) and the airconditioning was a bit noisy. Walking distance to the White House, dining and some shops. Probably will return to this hotel when we return to Washington DC (whenever that will be).

The Hotel Madera is our favorite place to stay in DC. Not only is it conveniently located- the staff goes out of their way to help ensure you have an enjoyable trip. Special props to Fernando and everyone working Memorial Day weekend and the days afterwards. You rock!

Overall the hotel and location are very nice, but... I booked through Priceline and they did not have me in their system due to a "recurring computer glitch". I didn't have my confirmation # so I had to go back to the car and dig through my papers to get it. The hotel was nice, but a week later I noticed they had put through a charge of $45 on my credit card for some reason. I called to inquire about it and left a message for Armando, the accounting person. I called back 4 more times to inquire on this and he never returned any of my calls. Frustrated, I sent a letter to corporate about it and they never responded either. I had no choice but to dispute the charge through my credit card issuer. Check your statements, people! Make sure they don't fraudulently bill you for incidentals you never received. If they do, you might as well skip the 'customer inquiry' route, as they lack the professionalism and service skills to respond to a legitimate customer inquiry. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS HOTEL...

Incredible location with the friendliest staff imaginable. A penultimate experience.
