If you're in the US (or most of the rest of the civilized world): another country just ordered Google to censor your internet. Google has already (reluctantly) agreed to abet that country's censorship of its own internet; but that country says that keeping the information it wants to censor from getting to its own citizens isn't enough.

If that other country were some third-world dictatorship, I'd be opposed but not surprised. But this is France, attempting to get away with this by appealing to a newly-discovered "right". Even granting that that "right" is less scary than implied by the catchy new name they've come up for it (the literal interpretation of a "right to be forgotten" is a right to erase part of the minds of everyone who knows you), why is it any more reasonable than a theist's "right" to stop you from speaking ill of their prophet? Do the Nazis who invaded France have a "right to be forgotten", and if not, why do other criminals but not them?

(Google is holding its ground in defiance of that French court's order to stop Americans from saying things to other Americans in America.)

Happy Blasphemy Day!
If you believe that you follow a leader who has ordered his followers to commit genocide (Deuteronomy 20:16 etc.), may you not just be glad that he has finished his genocides and will order no more, but may you have the moral strength to rebel.

The UK censors the news, then censors the news about censoring the news. Seems in need of some Streisand Effecting.
