I walked past by this falafel joint so many times and I finally decided to try it for my lunch the other day.Since I went during the lunch time, I ordered the Combo which had the falafel sandwich and Lentil soup. I walked and gave my order to the guy behind the counter. First of all dude love your job and show me some good customer service. I had to repeat thrice that I want the combo lunch platter. The falafel sandwich was so dry, bland that I could not finish it.I though I would satisfy my hunger with the lentil soup, to my surprise I find a small iron string in my soup. That was so disgusting and I threw all of that food. If I would have not seen that string I would have eaten it, yikes and so scary! Definitely never coming back here. A place which one can definitely avoid when in JC downtown.

I have been going to Ibby's in JC since '96 (when it was in the Heights section). I don't live far in terms of miles, but in terms of time/aggravation, I'm not "around the corner" ! that said, I make the extra effort to come here because the food is great *every time*... I cannot fathom the negative remarks about the food here. parking ? interior space ? yes -- *those* are, let's say, a roll of the dice. but price, hospitality, and quality, are NOT. I can only conclude that the competition are trying to undermine this gem of an eatery. to anyone reading these reviews, consider the very low cost of the items on the menu, then take the "gamble" and try it out -- you'll quickly realize how good their food really is.

Fantastic value, very efficient service. Best when high turnover - fresh falafel! Also like to try the sweets behind the front glass counter!

Good falafel but the menu is set up in such a way that getting hummus with your sandwich takes math and strategic maneuvering. A falafel sandwich that doesnt come with hummus? I wanted to order the falafel platter and asked how can I get hummus and was told to get the hummus platter instead which came with only 4 falafel and 2 pitas. Disproportionate...

Disappointing and gave me a bellyache. We got delivery and the food was meh. The falafel was okay as well the lentil soup, but the hummus and dessert were off. They gave us pitas in an open labeled plastic bag, clearly store bought.
