Ukuleles mildly annoy everyone but the people who are playing them right at that moment.

Ukuleles against fascism

The fascists have gotten way out of line and every little bit helps.

Why do I have problems envisioning any modern politician reading with veracity? They are almost all attorneys that have decided to make their living making promises they should never fulfill based on access to monies nobody has earned yet. I have no respect for ANYBODY that makes their living as an elected official.
While many of America’s presidents came from prominent, educated homes, one of our most famous -- Abraham Lincoln -- did not. Growing up in the backwoods of Kentucky and then Indiana, Lincoln rarely enjoyed the privilege of full-time schooling. His formal education, in his own words, came “by littles,” “did not amount to one year,” and was thoroughly “defective.” And yet Honest Abe rose in society to become a shop owner, lawyer, and of course, Pr...

I have been so disappointed by so many guitar and bass amps over the years. I find something that works great in situation X but not y. Great way loud but not for the house. I am very tired of being disappointed over and over. I just bought a Gallien Krueger MB 112 bass amp and I have put it through all of the paces last week. Well, all but low voltage, but that is a story for another time.

It is way louder than a 12 inch bass amp should be but sounds really good at bedroom levels. Likes my p bass, my j bass, and my weird bass. Four band EQ is just right for my ears. It can go dark with a vintage p bass thud and bright like a super modern sound. It is clear enough to run my archtop through and it sounds great. It gets loud without being painful. It is even very good sounding on my acoustic. It would work in a pinch for that with just a touch of reverb and delay.

I am totally happy with the MB 112 at this point and I look forward to buying the 15 inch extension cabinet.

I am not a fan of the grateful dead but these inlays are totally bad ass.

Tribute

Modeled after Jerry Garcia's famous Irwin custom, Alembic's Tribute makes a perfect canvas for their impressive custom inlay work. The single collage below doesn't even begin to do these guitars justice. For more pics + the story behind each check out Alembic's website:

As one would expect, the recipe I'm sharing with you today is best enjoyed at the peak of tomato season. Shopska salata, a traditional Bulgarian chopped salad, is light, crunchy and refreshing and it only takes minutes to prepare.

Just because is never an excuse for the government to be involved in your private communications. And you might do something bad isn't either.Requiring  a warrant from a judge means that at least one person OUTSIDE law enforcement has a chance to evaluate the need to violate your privacy. I'm not beating up on law enforcement, just the pervasive idea that we really belong to the government and are therefor subject to whatever makes things easy on them.
Under #ECPA  today, the government may access the content of your communications without a warrant beginning 180 days after receipt of the message. The… - Google Take Action - Google+
