Beautiful beach and great camping site. Everyone is friendly, considerate and willing to help out. We go every year to get a break from reality & electronics.

I just got back from a "Bike-packing" trip last week, and the weather was gorgeous! One night of rain, which was gone by morning. This is the second camping trip this year and I have to say that I'm very satisfied with the staff and the cleanliness of the park. I've been in some state parks (CT) that weren't quite as well maintained. If you're looking for a nice beach/camping experience next year, I'd recommend Hammonasset. Just reserve early!

Excellent campground, great staff, beach accesible from the camp - some sites have VERY little shade - Aera 1 seems to have more trees than any others (also farther away from the beach) - Also you don't have to pay the daily fee ($10) to access the other state park beaches if you stay at the campground. We wil def. go back !

I go there every year for at least 11 days and even though I get hurt at least once every year, I still have a blast. Everyone there is super friendly and it's great for kids, you don't have to worry about them getting taken by the current because it's not very strong on the camping side of the Jeti. I have an overall fun time every year I go and I can't wait to go again this year.

Nice beach by CT standards - $13 parking entry fee reasonable too. Was not too crowded for labor holiday.

Excellent place to camp and spend time with your family. I have come here for years since a baby and hope my children continue the tradition.
