Memit Web Clipper Question: I was memming some books and dvds from Amazon. Some items allowed me to select what elements I wanted (images, blocks of copy, etc. w/ a cool purple highlight box) before saving. Awesome feature, BTW! One I liked when I tried Keeeb but LOVE how Memit implemented it.

But on some other books and dvds after I click the clipper it would load a slimmed down version of the listing without any images. Is there some difference in the listings in how Memit treats them in the clipper?

My brief testing was in Firefox on Windows 8.1

Will the Memit Android app have the function to scan ISBN barcodes from book? +Springpad had this feature and pullied it's info from Amazon and other sources(i believe). Or does Memit already have this capability? (I personally don't have a iOS device to test)

Strangely unsettling how well this ad's storyline and dialogue dovetail with his +Justified character (pre-Detroit exile of course). Neal McDonough plays Robert Quarles again for Cadillac! #justifiedfx

Nooo...it's annoying the $#!+ out of me! It would help if these ad spots were funny. I've WISHED they were funny. But they haven't even garnered an isolated 'ha' under my breath or raised the corner of the mouth into a half-hearted grin. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Zero. And, by the way, this isn't 'savvy' or game 'changing'. This is Jurassic Park Syndrome. That was so over-licensed that potential ticket buyers were turned off by the shear volume of inundating merchandise before it even opened in theaters. And it didn't even have the advantage of social media! Same syndrome happening here. A percentage of potential movie-goers will be sick-and-tired of seeing/hearing Ferrel's lame, plastic delivery attached to every piece of advertising they read and hear. So much lead time and money has been sunk into this retread excuse of a movie that the box office is going to have to be off-the-charts to come close to recouping the money thrown at this thing. Ultimately, this is a sequel. A SEQUEL! This character isn't funny enough to be ramping up for a trilogy. Face it folks, he jumped the shark. He jumped the shark the second they started filming the first Dodge commercial. Or the second time he appeared on a late night talk show playing the flute. Or the first photo shoot for a print ad. Or the first time he was clipped out for a web banner ad. Or the first time... sigh oh, I give up, nobody's listening.

All of us have gone about finding a decent alternative to SP in our own way. Gathering experience from trying out new services, reading what others have tried elsewhere, etc. For me, the process of elimination has been a little easier (i.e. harder to find) due to my personal criteria:

- Decent visual web UI (that wasn't just columns)
- Notebook/collection visual organization
- Check lists
- Android app with access and can scan barcodes
- Migration tool was an added incentive (but not absolutely necessary)
- At least the promise of stability

Starting to apply these to the long list of alternative we curated together, many fell off the potential list immediately. Some seemed to veer to far toward team collaboration rather than note functionality. Just from a longevity standpoint, I felt the darkside pull of EN and ON more than once but just couldn't bring myself to bite the bullet. There had to be something better. Keeeb, Quip, Mammoth and Clipix all have different and great UIs well worth consideration. But ultimately, for my uses, Memit has won me over. The team there and their active conversation here have illustrated their level of involvement in the community. Which, strangely, is exactly what we have here. Memit's willingness to communicate with us, actively ask for suggestions, makes the decision easy. A huge thanks to the Memit team, especially +Lise-Lotte Maria Sundahl, +Jan Futtrup and +Lasse Adolphsen! Taking on all our suggestions/demands have made your jobs more difficult I'm sure. But allows us to feel invested in the product, one we will spread the word and advocate for. Farewell SP, you were a great tool. But our notes must still be written. Onward we march with Memit in hand (at least for me anyway)!

Watched this last night after hearing of his passing. Starts out talking about drinking. Always a good place to start. It's all hysterical. Best part is the end, his response to if he's given any thought to what he wants written on his tombstone (4:24).

"It may not resemble a Mac Pro or tower desktop when it comes to performance, but tablets are slowly beginning to replace the reasons for using a laptop computer." - Kye Mou

Uh...no. Tablets need to 1) run Photoshop (and InDesign would be nice) and 2) manage a 1.4GB PSD with 149 layers, 27 masks, 14 layer effects, 8 Smart Objects and an Alpha Channel. I'll be sitting here with my towers waiting for tablets to catch up, Mr. Mou.
