I'll be interested in the proposed two-day Atlantic crossing. I would guess that they would need major innovations in hydrofoil design with built-in stability against large waves.

As background to the World Cup in Brazil, I am blogging about one of the cities that has seen less coverage -- the "jungle city" of Manaus. There have been no riots there, and the stadium has been completed for a long time. What interests me is Manaus' interesting history as the "rubber capital of the world" and the things that a fan can do there now, between games.  http://dirkwyle.blogspot.com
