One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a club or concert venue. We went to see a concert and celebrate a friend's birthday. About ten minutes after walking in, a member of our group is approached by a young woman working security who accuses him of smoking an e-cigarette. Neither he nor anybody in our group for that matter smoked or was in possession of e-cigarettes, vaporizers or any related paraphernalia. He was holding the drink that he got earlier at the bar, the only thing which could've conceivably be mistaken for a vaporizer. Five minutes later my friend is escorted to the back of the venue, told to empty his pockets and patted down, of course they don't find an e-cigarette (since nobody was smoking!) and despite his calm and compliant behavior ( I do not know how he kept his cool), he is instantly kicked out of the venue! The staff involved here was extremely aggressive and unprofessional in handling the situation. We were a group of coherent and sober people, and despite our attempts to reason with the bouncers our friend was picked on and ROBBED of the 25$ entry price as well as a good concert experience, for absolutely NO REASON. There was a blatant lack of evidence, there were several witnesses (outside of our group, anyone in the crowd could've testified). The behavior of the staff was criminal and everyone felt awful about how unjust the whole situation was. This was not a safety issue, the aggressiveness of the bouncers involved was completely unwarranted. Avoid this venue, Boston has much more to offer.

Your security searches are brutal, no other place in or around Boston or any other event venue is as ineffective and as inconvenient as yours. A few bad apples sneak in a flask or something and your response is to punish everyone. Nice sound system and stage, but it won't make up for having to spend half the night waiting to go through security as you have to be searched every time you step out for a breath of air. Drinks from the balcony constantly being spilled or dropped onto the main floor also. Not a very good setup.

Johnathan - we appreciate your feedback. We feel that it is our responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for all patrons, fans, artist, and staff. We hope you can understand that although we don't enjoy thorough searches of patrons, we feel it is necessary to provide everyone a safe place to enjoy live music. Please contact us at info@sinclaircambridge.com should you like to discuss further. We hope that you can join us again some time. -The Sinclair

Very rude staff. From the people taking id's to the people at the bar. Almost ruined the good show. Wont be going again. Two stars for being a clean place. if you can avoid everyone who works there, its not a bad.

Hi Maria- Please contact us at info@sinclaircambridge.com to explain your evening and how the staff was rude. We pride our staff on being very friendly and accommodating. Our bartenders collect ID's when a patron opens a tab so that we can contact them if they happen to leave their tab open when they leave.

On the music venue: it's one of my favorites in Boston. They have a very nice mezzanine, if sitting down for live music is your thing you can show up when doors open to get 1 of the 4 tables on the mezz with a great view. $4 beers. Really good lighting and sound system. The restaurant has a nice roof deck and good, but a little pricey food.

Saw Tycho here. Stood on the mezzanine. Great sound. Option to dance in with a sweaty crowf if you're into that kind of thing.

A great venue in Harvard Square. Saw a sold-out Breakbot show here, and despite being sold-out, it was not overcrowded. The air was fresh & cool, which is key for an inside venue.

One of my favorite venues in the Boston area. Moderately sized, great sound, and excellent beer selection. Would definitely recommend anyone to check out this venue!
