My wife has a soy and dairy allergy - people don't realize soy is in everything, including canola and vegetable oils. Zea's uses Cottonseed oil and the food was fantastic!! The people are SO nice and the valet parking is free (should, of course, tip them). The menu is also kid friendly, but very good quality adult cooking as well! We loved this place!

I went here with friends for a Sunday lunch, and I wasn't sure what to expect. After reading the reviews, I went for the Half Rack of Thai ribs with sweet potatoes and roasted corn grits. The ribs were okay. The sweet potatoes were okay. The corn grits... There is a world of magical flavor in those corn grits. This could be one of the best side dishes that I have ever had at a chain restaurant. In summary: try the corn grits.

Zea is a chain, but it is a local chain. They started as a rotisserie and microbrewery and have expanded to several locations, including this one. Their food is consistently good. Highlights include the duck empanadas, loaded hummus(not the official name), rotisserie meat of the day, ribs, ribeye and grilled fish. I went to this location for fathers day and was given a free six pack of their beer. Their Pontchartrain Porter is wonderful. Dark with undertones of chocolate, it soothes your soul. Anyway, you can't go wrong with Zea.
