Story
Introduction

Known to my clients as "The Job Search Makeover Coach," I am a kick-butt trainer, nurturing “job sage” and passionate about helping my clients move mountains in their job search. As President of Aspire! Empower! Career Strategy Group, a Guild Certified Five O'Clock Club Career Coach, award-winning résumé writer, enthusiastic speaker, social media addict, and devoted networker with 12+ years’ HR experience at Fortune 100 companies, I remain committed to helping HIGH-ACHIEVING, MID-CAREER, CORPORATE professionals and executives find work that fires them up!

I like to say that I was "born and raised professionally at Disney" so I have the Disney spunk and customer service mentality in my blood. After receiving my first promotion out of polyester, I recruited nationwide for the Walt Disney World College Program and led the recruitment and staffing efforts for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach water parks.

At America Online, Inc. I designed and launched AOL's college internship program and coached hundreds of employees—from entry-level to executive—on how to fit in, stand out, and move up in the company and in their careers!

In addition to a Master of Labor Relations and Human Resource Management Degree from Michigan State University, I am the proud owner of the following certifications: Certified Expert Resume Writer, Credentialed Career Manager, Job and Career Transition Coach, and Certified Networking Coach with Contacts Count. My easy-to-implement approach has garnered attention from such national news media as The Washington Post, U.S. News & World Report, Chicago Tribune, Monster.com, Careerealism.com, and Aol., to name a few.

But, above all else, I feel that it is my generous and grateful spirit that allows me to be the advocate I am for my clients... and I believe, without a doubt, that there is MORE than enough pie to go around for everyone!

First let me say that I would give Home Interior Warehouse 10 stars if I could!!! My story: recently, I had an addition built onto the back of my house that included a new family room, kitchen, butler's pantry, breakfast room, screened in porch and master bathroom. Well, I have hired many interior designers before, but I was hesitant to hire any of them again because none of them successfully made me feel at home in my house. No matter how I told them that something was just out of whack, I was told that it looked good and that I should leave it. When a friend recommended that I check out Home Interior Warehouse, I thought I'd check it out. When I walked in, I was just blown away! Gorgeous items from top to bottom. But, at the time, I really thought that I would never know how to assemble them all together. I had a list that was a mile long of things I needed to get done, and I was at a loss for how to do it. How would my house ever look as gorgeous as this store!? Well, we were in a bit of a rush, so my builder told me to select cabinet style, color, countertop color, paint colors, backsplash, hard wood floor color, and mudroom floor color all in a matter of a week!!! I started to get very anxious and was confident that I could NOT get it all done. (Keep in mind, I own my own company and have 2 school-aged children.) Not only was I unsure of what to do first (do cabinets come before granite, or vice-versa?), I was also unsure of my style preferences too! And, paint colors for all of the walls, forget about it! My brain couldn't take all of the decisions. I was so worried that I'd make a ton of mistakes. I knew, without help, this would cost me a fortune!!! Well, Jackie Schwartz and Home Interior Warehouse were the answer to all of my design problems. Jackie started with the floor color, cabinet (style and color), then wall color, countertops, then backsplash and then finalized all of the other items (fixtures, couches, tables, lamps, rugs, accessories, etc.) until every little item was absolutely perfect!! Note: I only gave her two requests: I asked for a beach home with some kind of coral and blue, and she pulled together the whole color palette with those two ideas. She has that special something; she isn't pushy, but she's confident. She is so good at what she does that even when she encouraged me to get something that I wasn't sure I'd love, I said: "Ok, let's just get it and see!" and, in my house, it looked FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Pics to come later!!) I recall sitting in the room, with all the new furniture in it, drinking a glass of wine, and thinking -- for once in my life, I won't be ashamed to have people over! I can finally have an open house! And a book club meeting here too! I now feel VERY PROUD of my new house and, when I'm away from it, I want to run home TO it! Jackie is calm, kind, patient, and EXCEPTIONALLY gifted at what she does. For example: as I mentioned above, I've had so many designers try to move furniture around my living room, but something was always just a wee bit off. Jackie notices everything. I never quite felt that my living room was finished, but I simply could not articulate it. Well, Jackie came in and gave one look at the fireplace (in all it's chipped red brick 1942 glory) and said: "we need to paint that." Sure enough, one coat of paint to complement my coral and beige colors, muted the background, warmed the room right up, and made it all come together!! Oh, and lest I forget, my house is in BETHESDA, MD, not in Detroit!! So, don't let geography stop you from using Jackie and HIW! Jackie -- I just love you. I just want to thank you for everything you've done for me to give me the home of my dreams. When I sit in my gorgeous Elegant Coastal home (love that term!), or dine at my snazzy dining table with my sparkling, crystal candlesticks, I will forever be thinking about you, and thanking you!!!!!!! And, I'll be calling you when we do our basement! (You're on speed dial now!)

I've frequented MedOne since the first week it opened, and have had nothing but great experiences there. Dr. Felber is a lovely man and a knowledgeable doctor who has a terrific bedside manner. The receptionists are always friendly and do their very best to make it an expeditious experience, even though the place has been getting increasingly busier! (A true testament to their success in our area.) But, this review is not about Dr. Felber; it's about the Physician's Assistant, Nicole. (Sorry, Nicole, I don't know your last name!) About 8 weeks ago, I got a new dog, started construction on my home and found myself experiencing an increasing amount of stress at work. And, then, I started to have breathing issues. I was air hungry day and night, and went to the ER twice, in addition to multiple allergists, internists and pulmonologists, all of whom diagnosed me with anxiety and/or allergies. I started taking xanax on a regular basis, took a vacation from my house and my dog, and found that nothing made me feel better. I was struggling and becoming very depressed. I was worried I would never be the same again. At 8pm on a Saturday night, I decided to give the MedOne a try. Well, the stars were shining on me that night because Nicole walked in. She patiently and calmly listened to my entire story, explained why she would or would not put me on this or that drug, and sent me home with Prednisone. Turns out, I had an asthma flare up, I believe due to the brutal winter, that was causing me to have chronic inflammation. Well, not even five days later, I was all better!!! have seen Nicole since, and have told her that she is my angel. I feel truly blessed to have had her ear during one of the most frustrating health situations in my adult life. Thank you, Nicole and to MedOne for joining the Bethesda community. I'm truly grateful!!
