Nothing, no depth of human evil, can surprise me anymore once after meditating on this truth: The human race killed God. God came to earth, bringing peace to us from heaven and we hung Him on a cross. That is why the mystery of the Resurrection is the only hope for such a broken world. If Christ is not raised from the dead, then there is no hope for such a broken race of people. But if He is raised, and indeed He is, then the Resurrection is the surest hope...the SUREST hope that death will not have victory over life. In the face of terrorism, race wars, violence, abuse and suicide, LIFE WINS! Evolution does not have the same story to tell, in fact, it would be on the side of those who have the biggest guns and/or the most power (re: survival of the fittest). No, it is only the Resurrection of Christ that has triumphed over evil and death. If our times now does not make you fall to your knees and worship Him, I do not know what will. If you put your hopes in the evolution of man, what has our last century shown us? Man does not evolve, but rather devolves into something deprave. Perhaps you would like to blame it on God, but it is not His rule but the rule of human beings (whether they say they believe in a god or they don't) which as produced the evils of our times. Millions of lives lost in our post-modern, 'you can't tell me what I should believe world'. Believe in Jesus, not because I'm telling you that you have to but because who else has 'the words of eternal life?'
