Le Clerc & Le Clerc LLP is conducting an investigation into whether @unitedhealthgrp's subsidiary,@optum360, has a policy and practice of terminating women whose pregnancy leave exceeds a specified time period.  If you work for, or worked for,@optum360 and believe you may have experienced pregnancy discrimination in California, please contact us.

Le Clerc & Le Clerc LLP is investigating whether @amazon provides pregnant women with reasonable pregnancy accommodations, or if it simply requires pregnant women with medical restrictions to take pregnancy disability leave.  If you are or were a pregnant Amazon employee that was required to take leave instead of being provided pregnancy accommodations, please email me at chris@leclerclaw.com.

An employer may not terminate, punish, refuse to hire, or otherwise discriminate against an employee for being pregnant, for requesting to take pregnancy disability leave, or for opposing any policy, practice or action by her employer that she reasonably believes to be a violation of her pregnancy related rights.  If you feel like you have been wronged, please contact us for a free consultation.

Fired for staying home with your sick child?  That termination may be unlawful.  If you would like to learn more, contact us.

Unless she requests to take leave, it is unlawful to require a pregnant woman to take pregnancy disability leave in most circumstances.  This means that employers cannot place employees on leave simply because it is easier than providing them some other form of accommodation, such as a modified work schedule or modified work duties.
