I usually write a reflective post on Valentine's Day each year...This is the 1st one where I actually have a 'valentine'! However it's not 'that' type of post, as I do know what it's like to be single. Here's a snippet: "It's natural for someone to desire committed love from a spouse, but it shouldn't be for validation. Our value and worth should come from being a child of God through Jesus Christ."
Let me know your thoughts, love Mel x

My #valentinesday  post for 2016!
Here's a snippet, "Valentine's Day has rolled around once again, and for many it's a day best slept away. You see, for most people it's not romance, chocolate and flowers they desire; it's the committed love from a spouse they crave for validation."
My heart as always, love Mel!

Almost five years ago when my heart was broken and torn in two, God gave me a promise of restoration and new love from Him that was to come. I waited, even impatiently at times, even making mistakes at times, but I did wait while praying and praying! I came to a place of wondering if I could ever truly trust a man again as I trusted The Lord...But the wait is now over. Fear and distrust has been healed by my loving Father through one of His followers...Fear and distrust has been replaced with peace, joy and trust. Every good gift comes from The Father above who does not change or fail to keep His promises. This is my poem to Richard. Love Melanie.

My most recent post. A post from my heart which looks at God's heart for mercy, forgiveness, grace and reconciliation, and our appropriate response as ones who have experienced this great love first hand. Life is indeed difficult at times. We can feel so hurt and wronged by others who we think should know better...But The Lord has often reminded me through Isaiah 42, 'A bruised reed He will not break' and I therefore need to allow myself to be inconvenienced by true, costly love. I hope this post encourages you to continue loving others, in your love for Him. Let me know what you think :)

A look at God's heart, mercy, grace and forgiveness and how this should impact us as inconvenient and costly love...

My response as a Christian to the recent heartbreaking news of massacres and pro-abortion marches.

This post really asks a question: 'Does it change our thinking if we begin to re-read the famous 'Armour of God' Ephesians 6:10-17 section as a direction for the discipleship of our own children in our own family home?' My thoughts and heart as both a disciple and parent - Let me know what you think. Love Mel :)
