Haven't posted on the blog for some time...but I've been 'in my burrow' with my kits. An update post on 'Life of an Ordinary Aussie Woman'.
Love Mel :)

The most unrestrained post I think ever on the blog...discussing the Royal Wedding sermon, Gospel truth, the recent gender 'clean up' of kids books, chaplaincy and more...With some nerves I'm just saying what I think needs to be said, as I believe Jesus is not far off coming for His faithful followers, given all the signs we see around the world in our daily news feed. I don't know really what to say to introduce this post, other than it comes from a place of love and scriptural truth (yes it's all hyperlinked), even though many won't take it that way. Indeed, you don't make friends with salad!

A blog post relating to our current news regarding schooling here in Victoria, Australia linked in with a not so common reflection on the recent sermon by US Episcopal Church leader, Bishop Curry.
A post where I'm not holding back...and saying what I believe needs to be said...indeed some salad for your barbecue!

My latest post on the importance of faith and looking forward during challenging times. Here's a snippet: "However when we’re in the wilderness and we look forward, keeping our eyes on Jesus, we see past the bareness to ‘the garden of the LORD’ that is to come. We dream. We imagine. We see past the present, looking beyond. We have a future dream that is so much more than we could ever create for ourselves. We have a future dream based on much more than our own limited talent and resources. We have a future dream that is real.
And, when we begin to look forward, we begin to move forward…one step and day at a time. When we begin to look forward we cultivate our wilderness with anticipation, eagerness, excitement and thankfulness, preparing our hearts for what is to come...."

Romans Chapters 7 & 8 are now finished and live on the website! In Chapter 6-8 Paul addresses the very real pastoral issue of willful, deliberate sin for believers. Such important biblical truth to both know and apply to our own lives, as we're living in a day and age when the world is going backwards in morals and godliness...yes even by those who profess to be Christian.
