Starting kids with good dental health at a young age will set them up with good habits for the rest of their lives.
Dental caries, also known as tooth decay, is the most common chronic disease in children in the United States — and your child’s pediatrician, family doctor, or nurse can play an important role in prevention.

I went to have two fillings done. All of the receptionists are extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Taliq (spelling?), the dental assistant I had, did an outstanding job, was super friendly, and answered all of my questions. Dr. Maya is also a joy: very friendly, very professional, and always ready to answer questions. I was only a little taken aback that Dr. Patel, who was observing the procedure, made remarks as if I wasn't even in the room. I'll chalk it up to her still being somewhat in training.

Very friendly staff but several problems with my first (and only) visit. I'm new to the area and was looking for a new dentist so I found a Groupon for a $59 cleaning at Greystone, which was a bad idea in retrospect. I felt like they were trying to "up sell" me the entire time, trying to get me to commit to being a long-term customer (which I would have gladly done, if I was happy with the experience) but also suggesting a lot of extra dental work that wasn't mentioned by my previous dentist. When it comes to my health, I'm looking for medical expertise, not a sales pitch. Although the staff, hygienist, and Dr. Moore were all very friendly, the office was noisy and claustrophobic. Overall, just not a great experience so I'll get my care elsewhere.

Village Dental was a nightmare. The experience started positive with a very friendly staff which was helpful in answering questions. All I wanted was a quote for one implant, when arriving at the office I was there for two hours with extremely pushy staff who proceeded to tell me I needed multiple things done and insisted I have a cleaning done. Again I was there for an implant quote ONLY. When the Hygienist entered I was confused as what she was doing and I questioned and said no I didn't wish to have a cleaning. The office assistant and hygienist were very adamant my insurance would cover the cleaning in full and the hygienist proceeded. When speaking with them I was so overwhelmed by their pushiness I actually begin to cry in the office for the lack of professional shown. At the time they were offering a deal, which was free cleaning or you paid/or bill the cleaning to your insurance and received free whiting trays. The Office assistant had assured me the insurance covered my cleaning and I should bill it to insurance and get the free whiting trays. Later I received a bill for the office- saying my insurance was not active and I had new insurance (again this is after the assistant had 100% confirmed my insurance (in her words she called "multiple" times to double check) would pay. (Now they say all they can do is estimate the insurance but not be held reasonable for what they tell you)When simply asking for the whiting trays to be removed and the cleaning taken off this could not be done. The office removed the whiting trays (which I never received) but would not then switch the cleaning to the original offer. When started to get this fixed I and the office staff were very professional in trying to get it worked out- however it turned sour quick. They admitted what was done that day was not the proper way to handle it but the "services were rendered" so they would not remove the cleaning fee. I completely understand their point but this was not what I asked for plus I was assured the cleaning was covered. At the end of the conversation (almost a year later) I was told by the office manger she would take care of the issue. I never received a another call/email/letter from them. Now the $89.00 dollars went as a negative mark against my credit- when calling Village Dental- she covers their end saying they sent me "undeliverable mail" and called a "full voice mail box" and stated that the office manager said the $89.00 was still due the last time I spoke to her (which was not the case). The second problem I had was when getting other quotes for the original implant issue. I was told by THREE different dentist that the material they quoted should never be used in the situation I had. I am thankful the biggest problem I have is being pushed into a corner for the $89.00 fee. My assumption is the office was prime to jump on the opportunity to take advantage of a young adult with little knowledge about insurance. My suggestion is to be careful when using Village Dental, while the first impression is very friendly- the underlying issues could be waiting to push through. I take my responsibility in knowing I should have double checked what they were telling me for myself and to have stuck with my initial decline and simply left. I just wish Village Dental would have taken their fault in the situation and followed through in fixing their questionable business practices. Be sure to get a second option before having major work done.

Hi Brittany, Thank you so much for leaving us your honest feedback. We hate to hear that patients had a poor experience at our office. We are sorry to hear that you feel the way you do, but we want to try to rectify the situation. My name is Beth - I'm the Office Manager here at Village Dental. I left you a voicemail today. Would you give me a call at the office (919) 847-0902 so we can correct the issue? Thank you for your time. Beth

Village Dental at Greystone has friendly staff, and a very clean office. I would score them highly on atmosphere. I had wisdom teeth removed, and pain did not subside for almost 4 weeks. I went back a couple times on short notice and they were always willing to fit me in. I'm not sure why the intense pain lasted so long, but it did end up going away. They gave me prescriptions for pain killers during both follow ups. Unfortunately, I do have couple complaints. They tried very hard to "upsell" during my initial visit. They did the xrays and initial consult because i was a new patient. I was looking to simply get 3 widsom teeth pulled, and they ended up suggesting almost $10k in other procedures (including deep cleaning, a root canal, and implants). I was left pretty scared about the health of my teeth, and a feeling of mistrust because they tried to sell me a lot of services I suspect I wont need. They also failed to submit my insurance claim, leaving me waiting for 3 months to get any money back from my insurance company. I had to call and ask for an update before they realized it was not submitted correctly. They also charge quite a bit. I only had the 3 teeth pulled, and their rates were about $350 each. That's a lot more than my insurance thought they should be charging, so I got a pretty small claim check at the end. I'll most likely be looking for a more affordable dentist in the area.

I'm one of those people that avoided dentist for a number of years because of bad experiences in the past. I've been going to Village Dental at Greystone since the summer of 2011. I went in for a severe toothache and they were able to get me in and actually pulled a cracked tooth and an impacted wisdom that day. I've since had the rest of my wisdom teeth pulled and some old fillings replaced. Every visit has been extremely pleasant, I walk in, have a coffee while I wait, get my teeth cleaned, and they go over any watches from the previous visit and if there's anything new we talk about that. I've personally recommended this dentist to my friends and family and the ones that have tried them out have all had great things to say about them too.

Best dental experience ever! From the get go of setting my first appointment all the way through to checkout! Everyone was very pleasant and the whole office was happy, competent, helpful, efficient and just a joy to be around. Patient education was priority and gentle patient care was too! What they were doing all the through my exam and cleaning and x-rays was explained step by step. I got to see all the pictures and x-rays that they took too. My hygienist was the best every! And the Doctor was too!! Recommendations for my dental care and dental treatments for me were explained without any pushy or "have to have it right now!". It was state of the arc comfort in every aspect - chair (was so comfortable - I was concerned because I am recovering from back surgery and can only sit for a certain length of time), glasses to put on to shield light and possible water sprays, a blanket for being cold, etc. It was an awesome experience! I want my whole family to go here and will be recommending it to my friends too!! I look forward to my next visit. Oh and the membership plan they have is great too!!
