I’m Robert Arena. Currently I am Executive Director of Curriculum Product Development at Connections Education, a Pearson Company. Company's work supports students and parents with an accredited online and blended public school environment for students in grades K-12 across 25 states. Responsible for company's 100+ courseware, training, and multimedia development teams. Teams develop and deploy online K-12 courses, HTML-based curriculum tools and learning presentations, design and implementation of corporate and student/parent multimedia training, as well as full studio supporting audio recording and video production needs. Our work has won awards from USDLA as well as an Eddie.
In addition to department responsibilities, a founding member of the company’s ProjectCONNECT initiative. ProjectCONNECT is a director level initiative to establish a company-wide PMI standards-based project management philosophy, technology platform and workflow. Begun in 2010, we are now in our fourth year of work and the adoption of these tools has increased our throughput of work, as well as provided predictability to both the business and the staff.
