Facebook really is watching your every move online.
In testing out the new Abine DNT+ tool, we noticed that Facebook has more than 200 "trackers" watching our internet activity.

Abine defines trackers as "a request that a webpage tries to make your browser perform that will share information intended to record, profile, or share your online activity." The trackers come in the shape of cookies, Javascript, 1-pixel beacons, and Iframes.

Made a quick stop on Business Insider, and then checked my gmail. This quick stop added six more trackers to my count, while the responding to an email and gchatting for a second added zero trackers. Facebook reads your emails!  Well, not exactly, when I opened an email with a link and clicked the link, Facebook added 4 more trackers.

Tool here:  http://www.abine.com/dntdetail.php#
Chrome extension.  Install, log into Facebook and then as you go about your online activities, watch and see what shows up.

LA Gov. Bobby Jindal says: “I suspect that many in the Obama administration really don’t believe in private enterprise. At best, they see business as something to be endured so that it can provide tax money for government programs.”

Reality:

- Since 1950, corporate tax receipts have averaged 2.7 percent of GDP. In the Obama years, they’ve averaged 1.16 percent of GDP.

- The original stimulus included billions in tax cuts for businesses, including allowing businesses to write off 50 percent of the cost of any depreciable capital purchases — think tractors and wind turbines — they made in 2009. In 2010, the Obama administration upped that to 100 percent. In 2011, they proposed the American Jobs Act, which sought to halve payroll taxes on the first $5 million of a companies payroll and a complete elimination of payroll taxes on new workers or increased wages for existing workers. Republicans blocked it from going through.

- After taxes, corporate profits amounted to 6.9 percent of GDP in 2010 — their highest level since 1966.

Why your coffee table will become the most important (and most expensive) piece of furniture in your house.

Today, coffee tables are almost an afterthought in the home design decision-making process. But soon, they'll become multi-touch supercomputers that control everything else in the house.

Let us wage a moral and political war against the billionaires and corporate leaders, on Wall Street and elsewhere, whose policies and greed are destroying the middle class of America.

As sea levels continue to rise, instead of trying to fight the water, Dutch architects and urban planners are taking a new approach: finding ways to live with it.

Here, a hotel -- called the Ark -- by Russian design firm Remistudio that is meant to be self-sufficient. http://to.pbs.org/JLAf1J

as a college student this place has saved my life numerous times; home sick? up late studying? rainy day, don't want to leave the house? No worries they'll deliver, and fast, FREE delivery at that. You honestly can't beat it. The customer service has always been friendly in my experience, and the food is the best part of all, fresh and delicious. This place has made me a Jimmy John's believer.
