Is Venture Capital Startup investing the sign of a Fourth Industrial Revolution?

Here is my latest article published on +Startup Grind   Some skeptics wonder if there is a Silicon Valley venture capital ‘bubble’ looming, or if venture capital firms invest in inflated ‘Unicorns’ that may disappear once they are in the hands of the public.

2015 was a record setting year, with Venture Capitalists investing over $128 billion globally, which is a 44% increase from $89 billion in 2014. This is the largest amount invested since 2000 - the dotcom bubble year - according the 2015 Venture Pulse Report that compiled data from consulting firm KPMG and CB Insights.   #unicorn   #startups   #venturecapital   +Vania Benavides

Google Article Rich Snippets Guide Updated for AMP

A more detailed examination of these changes provides us, I think, with some insights on the direction Google is taking in their display, distribution and handling of articles moving forward, and very much substantiates Kyle's proposition that these changes have been made in support of the AMP initiative.

If you're not deep in the weeds on structured data and accelerated mobile pages then you'll have a pretty dismal 2016.

#google   #search   #amp
Google's guidelines for article rich snippets have been substantially expanded just as Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) are about to debut.

What Makes An Image Memorable? This MIT AI Might Hold The Key

MEMNET IS A NEURAL NETWORK RUN BY MIT THAT CAN ACCURATELY PREDICT HOW MEMORABLE AN IMAGE IS TO HUMANS.

Not sure why some photographs just brand themselves deep into your memory, while others make no impact whatsoever? With the help of a new neural network that learns to think like humans, researchers at MIT hope to figure out what makes the best photographs so memorable. The results could not only help up your Instagram likes, they could help graphic designers apply science to their work to make it more memorable.       #deeplearning

2015 Google Search Quality Rating Guidelines Released- with a new emphasis on Mobile and Usefulness

+Vab Media Digital Marketing Agency New York’s take away from a #seo perspective is that Google has shifted their focus and from “contextual relevance,” to making things “useful.” In other words, whereas in the past making your site’s landing page the most relevant result for a person’s search query, now this content must also fulfill a need or desire for the search to be considered a success.

As Andrew Broadbent, our director of Search Marketing noticed, “it’s all about usefulness today and in the future. The goal of Google’s search engine is very simple, to increase the searcher’s satisfaction. That is why being ‘useful’ is going to be a word to watch out for. In the past, we said ‘relevance’ but what we really mean is ‘useful.’”

Companies and business owners should not to try and worry about all the tiny technical details. Leave that to your Digital Marketing Agency. Instead, founders and company decision makers need to extract what Google’s focus is, so they can properly allot budgets and designate priorities in online marketing strategy that will be aligned with what Google’s search algorithm rewards. #google

When I was looking for a new shared office space for my co-founded startup Vab Media Web Design and SEO Marketing Firm, I evaluated several options, including a so called *free* space from a well-known business tech incubator. I chose Cowork|rs's because of their helpful community and how the management runs it. It is one of the single best decisions I’ve made for my career and my company's revenue. We have grown by 200 percent over the last year. .

Went here last night for drinks, met the former NBA basketball player Larry Johnson, who he is a curator, The drinks were moderately priced, considered how high-end the new rooftop lounge is, St Cloud. The view of the Ball Drop at One Times Square is pretty impressive.

I love this WeWork location, This was the first one that I got a chance to visit, and I fell in love. Andrew Young one of Wework's evangelists, brought me here with his Startup NYC event, which I was so grateful for. I loved meeting many of Wework's creative members. If I was to describe the Charging Bull atmosphere I would say, "perfect size, great people, fast internet, good micro brews and coffee, nice networking events, and the perfect mix of networking and focus time for you to get the job done.

I love this place. The happy hour menu is quite affordable. The duck appetizer is delightful. I took two different dates here. I highly recommend it.

Went here for a date last night, I must say this is a very swanky wall street type of a place. I loved the old school decor. The velvet red couches were nice. The drinks and food were on the pricey NYC side. If you are there with good company then it makes it all worth it.

This is the WeWork headquarters, which has an amazing layout and design. I love the giant Gong in the main hangout room when you first enter the community space. The food and unlimited coffee are so nice. This place has a very hip and funky design. The best part about it is the energy that you feel from all the startups and companies that work here. I highly recommend this place if you want an affordable, collaborative work environment.
