It’s time to vote for Idiot of the Week for November 24, 2014! This time we take a chance nominating a Large Government Entity. We usually stay away from LGEs because they can obviously run away with the votes, but since we’re not getting many votes anyway, whatever. The winner will eventually get an award certificate to download and print, suitable for framing or putting between two slices of bread with some asiago cheese, fresh spinach, and a bit of honey mustard for a delightful lunch. Until we get that certificate designed, they will get to sit in our virtual dunce chair on our home page. Below the poll are links to stories detailing the nominees’ intelligence-defying stunts. Winner posted Monday!

Last week, The Dice Guys worked extra at their day job, so getting together for the podcast was out of the question. However, we've got this put together for you: Games coming out later this year! Sit back and get a fairly quick overview of some games coming soon from +Tasty Minstrel Games , Fantasy Flight, Steve Jackson, and +Mayfair Games . Games covered are listed below with links to more information. There is no link to more info on pants-less clowns.

Just posted an article to my blog outlining my confusion on the issue of objectifying women. As a man I suppose it is only natural for me to be a bit confused. I would seriously like to hear opinions on this issue, so head on over and leave a comment! --Jason

Just wanted to give a heads up of an excellent article over at our friend Jeff Healy’s blog, Part-Time Elves. If you’re interest in Mecha — giant piloted robots — then check out the article for a list of Mecha RPGs put together by Jeff and some buddies at RPG.Net. Here’s a taste:

"One of the first RPGs I ever bought was one called Jovian Chronicles, a game about an interplanetary Cold War that was being fought with 5-story piloted robots. Ever since then, I’ve been a huge fan of mecha, both in general and in RPGs. The idea of piloting such a fantastic piece of technology has always been fascinating to me, and judging by the number of different RPGs out there that support the idea, I’m not the only one. So I decided to take a look at all of these different systems and see how they handle mecha, and give my opinion on each one."

This should have been up a week ago. No real excuses this time. Life happens. We move on — and we game! This time around we have information about games reflecting reality (kind of) in Greece, a great invention that shuts people up, and other Brain Flakes. Also, we found a UGLS — Unfriendly Local Game Store — and make sure you get the highlights so you know whether to visit them or not. And a CONTEST!

CONTEST? What do I win, you ask? Well, nothing really. A virtual pat on the back, use of your phrase in our show, and a moment of DiceGuy.Fame — which is almost as good as Net.Fame and certainly as fleeting. You see, we’re coming up blank on our Brian Flakes line, so maybe you can help us fill in the blank!

“Brain Flakes! Still crunchy in milk ______________!”

or

“Brain Flakes! So full of fiber, _____________!”

Just fill in the blanks and put your entry in the comments below or on the podcast's page on our site. We’ll choose one and use it in a future show and give you a shout-out by name!
The Dice Guys discuss an unfriendly local game store, moms that are da bomb, Greek finance, and Hickenlooper! cough -- pardon me.

This time, +Jason Spargur and +Michael Lewis welcome +Jeff Healy to The Dice Guys website. Jeff will be writing up role play gaming type stuffs while us old fogies get around to ignoring our day job so we can have some fun. We also have our patented Brain Flakes filled with yummy digital dice, virtual tabletops, and quadricopters that deliver tacos. Mmmmmm.. tacos. And our game pick of the week is something you can find in your local big box store!
Jason and Mike look at digital dice, virtual tabletops for gaming, tacocopters, and video game simulators. And they tell G4 how to think beyond the box!

I am very conflicted when it comes to women's issues. On the one hand, I believe that sexualized images and videos of women for the purpose of selling something to men is degrading and works again...

It's that time of year again: green hats, green beer, green clothes, green, green, green! Mike and Jason dump the leprechauns, though, and get right into some danger happening to a couple of hobbits -- or hobbit pubs, anyway. They talk a bit about the forthcoming Diablo III, just released Journey for PS3, and a new game announcement from Fantasy Flight Games! Also, Microsoft is giving their projects evil scientist device names now, and our game of the week: Arkham Horror.

And our "contest" is just going to be an ongoing thing, so give a brain flake saying whenever you like!

Enjoy!
The Dice Guys fear for hobbit pubs, talk Diablo 3 and Journey, and check out Microsoft Lab's latest. Also, a new game from Fantasy Flight and Brain Flakes.

Ahhh, pigs. So cute and cuddly and yummy… Wha–? Oh, excuse me. I was daydreaming there for a moment. Today, +Jason Spargur and +Michael Lewis provide an update on an unfriendly local game store in North Carolina, talk about CCP’s upcoming DUST 514, acknowledge International Women’s Day the geeky way, and talk robots and BioWare forum rage. And we have our oinks — er — Game of the Week!

And don’t forget our CONTEST!

Ok, you do get just a pat on the back and a 100% Air No-Prize (shout-out to Marvel Comics!), but think of the glory of your line being used on our show! Wait, don’t think about that — just enter anyway. Choose one:

“Brain Flakes! Still crunchy in milk ______________!”

or

“Brain Flakes! So full of fiber, _____________!”

Just fill in the blanks and put your entry in the comments below or on the podcast page itself.

Enjoy!
The Dice Guys talk about unfriendly local games stores, Free RPG Day, DUST 514, robots, gamer rage in BioWare's forums, and what not to do to pigs.
