U won't get free bread if u use Groupon. The waitress was friendly & they won't precharge u 18% tip on the bill. The food was ok, however me & my husband all got diarrhea after that dinner.

Deserves 0 stars. Pizza is always burnt and greasy. Surprised they're still in business. Worst pizzeria in East Brunswick

Here's a place that needs to be supported--well-prepared Italian favorites and imaginative dishes served up by a friendly, mostly attentive staff. I've eaten in the restaurant five times, and have had takeout another half-dozen times, and I'm never disappointed. The Linda Special was amazing--it's so rare to find a place that can perfectly cook calamari when it's one of many items in a dish. The Gorgonzola Chicken was terrificbeing perfectly done, and the Chicken ala Luigi had a wonderfully flavorful sauce that made the relatively small portion still worth it. The waitstaff and busboys are attentive, but service can be variable: I've had two amazing servers, and two passable ones. The table bread could be warmer and crispier, and the olive oil needs a bit of spice. The price is right, the staff is skillful and the food is terrific. This is the real antidote to the poison that is Olive Garden, and will make you realize Italian food can be amazing when it's done by people who care about the dishes they serve up. The A&P next anchoring this strip closed, so there's almost no foot traffic--but you will be well served by making a special trip to dine here.

Not bad, not great. Just ok. I prefer "Brothers Pizza & Restaurant" about five minutes down the road. They rock every time!

I took my family out for what I was hoping would be a nice evening. My big mistake was stopping at Alfonsos. The food was a disappointment, with dry, overcooked chicken entries and veil so overdone words cannot even describe. But that is not where the problem started. The management / owners of the restaurant have a lot of learning to accomplish in customer service and people pleasing. It seems their philosophy at the restaurant is treat people as dirt and somehow expect them to come back. Well I must say that not only will I never return to that restaurant, but I will tell every person I know of the way they treat their customers to ensure they will never eat there.
