The IWD Celebration will be held on 18th March 2017 to celebrate women who have impacted our community (Uganda at Large) using Technology innovations and/or have contributed to increasing the number of Ladies in Technology.

We shall have a full day celebration with talks from Women in Technology, Women groups and Codelabs to introduce and encourage women to join the tech field.

Cloud Next event will take place in San Francisco. Next '17 Extended Event will be an event that brings together developers, executives, customers, partners, IT decision makers, and Google engineers to build the future of the cloud. Attendees will see what's coming from the Google Cloud Platform, G Suite, Maps, and Devices teams.

At Outbox we shall show participants the Key note speeches from the event and take participants through a Codelab in Google cloud.

MEAN is a free and open-source JavaScript software stack for building dynamic web sites and web applications.

The MEAN stack makes use of MongoDB, Expressjs, Angularjs, and Node.js. Because all components of the MEAN stack support programs are written in JavaScript, MEAN applications can be written in one language for both server-side and client-side execution environments.

On Friday 21st October 2016 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, GDG Kampala and Outbox will host the above session with Chrispinus Onyancha, an experienced developer very knowledgeable about Google Cloud Platform, taking us through.

Progressive Web Applications take advantage of new technologies to bring the best of mobile sites and native applications to users. They're reliable, fast, and engaging.
The 2016 PWA summit will be two days of talks, codelabs and access to the Chrome engineers to discuss the future of the web.
On Thursday 30th and Saturday 2nd June 2016, GDG Kampala in partnership Outbox will take participants through a deep drive into Progressive Web Apps with codelabs and videos, introducing to you great libraries and tools for great Progressive Web Apps. We shall also look at how to migrate your site to a Progressive Web App, and much more.
Google Developer Groups (GDGs) are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android, Chrome, Drive, and Google Cloud platforms, to product APIs like the Cast API, Maps API, and YouTube API.

What shall we cover?

We shall watch a Keynote speech from the CEO Google. Sundar Pichai, covered from of the live event and tech talks. The event will also offer codelabs including App Engine and Compute Engine, by our developers within the community.

Who should attend?
Developers and tech enthusiasts. Anyone who is interested in cloud computing and/or learning Google technologies.
