Cylearian: pronounced-- sé-learian. Consisting of three members (Jamie Mink - Guitar/Vocals: Jim Boles - Drums/Percussion: Joe Privett - Bass), Cylearian has proven time and time again that the incredible angst, melodies, and musicianship we all knew and loved in the 90's is alive and well. From the melodic grooves of their instrumental jams "Lurk" and "Trailer Witch" to the hauntingly catchy vocal prowess of "Virginity", Cylearian captures an essence that many have missed since the days of Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and Alice in Chains.
The bands influences range widely from member to member, making the culmination of their talents that much more impressive. Both listening in the car on the way to work, or seeing them live on stage, they leave you with a feeling of wanting more. Amazingly catchy hooks, powerful guitars, explosive drumming and bass... Cylearian are most definitely what's been missing.
Though the members have been together as Cylearian for less than a year, both Jamie and Jim have been playing on/off together for over 15 years. With the addition of Joey on bass to round the group out, Cylearian has garnered plenty of East Coast attention in a very, very short time. Amassing over 10,000 fans in under six months (reverbnation.com
), packing venues not only in their hometown - but anywhere, and a full length album already in the can - these guys are sure to be a household name by the end of the decade.
