Love this!

Listening to community feedback after the snapcraft.io launch, we show you how to easily roll-out a vendor-independent snap store. Check it out on Dustin Kirkland's article!
SNAPs are the cross-distro, cross-cloud, cross-device Linux packaging format of the future. And we're already hosting a fantastic catalog of SNAPs in the SNAP store provided by Canonical. Developers are welcome to publish t...

+MEIZU Why release the Ubuntu pro 5 edition if there is no way to buy it? Frustrated Meizu! This is not good marketing for your company. Joybuy.com sucks.

I doubt availability is Joybuy's issue. Far more likely they sell what Meizu provides. Even so, the logic of what we have seen is..... odd.

Damn... just noticed the Meizu Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition phones are out of stock - was going to buy one. Anyone got any more information? Has anyone who has bought one actually received it yet? M

Received mine a few hours ago! (The Netherlands, ordered May 1st)
In my opinion the lag was out-of-the-box worse compared to my MX4 before that screen died (OTA-6, I think), but after updating to 10.2, is seems way better.

Playing with my M10 tablet, and trying out apps with libertine. Have installed several into the puritine container - how do I create and launch desktop files for them? Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

+Oliver Grawert Lastly, here is the output running your script with the system not writable through ssh: http://paste.ubuntu.com/16017442/

Still getting errors, however this time it's that the file is not writable.

Loving having my Bq 4.5 running Ubuntu again - just fixed my broken screen. Using it again now, the proximity sensor registers something (near) all the time, and rotation doesn't work. Proximity sensor I can troubleshoot, not sure what to do about the accelerometer... Any suggestions? Where is this located in the phone? Time to pull my phone apart again shortly...

Hmmm... Email from Canonical's latest devices newsletter, and not a word about the +MEIZU MX5 Pro with Ubuntu - what are we to make of that? Quietly killed, or still a work in progress? Would be nice to get an update.

Me to,
Sadly the response from Canonical is to talk to Meizu, and Meizu just refer to the official homepage... So no news at all....

Hey people, Victor from BQ has posted up a 'bug' on launchpad for missing caldav/carddav support with Ubuntu Touch. Lets get as many people adding "this bug effects me too" as possible so Canonical takes some notice! It's wonderful all the work that's ongoing with touch, but this is a missing feature that many of us want. Lets show them how important this is!!!

What's the best way to try Unity8 on a x64 PC in Virtualbox? Have downloaded the daily image of 16.04, installed it in virtualbox, and installed the unity8-desktop-session-mir package. I get a Mir option for the greeter on the login page, however nothing happens when I select it. The system freezes, refuses to start, and I need to reboot the machine in virtualbox. Have installed updates and guest additions. Any thoughts? Is there a better way to get Unity8 happening in Virtualbox?

So received my bq 4.5 replacement screen today - put it in, and onliy have half the screen (if that) responding to touch. (sigh) Have triple checked and seems to be installed corrently. Thoughts? No way to test if the digitiser on the replacement screen is borked.

Any thoughts on what I can try? Seriously considering buying a new bq 4.5 or 5, however kindof pointless if the MX5's are coming out soon. Any word on this? Love some feedback. Been on androind the past couple weeks, and usable, but that'about it. Much prefer Ubuntu - the system is awesome now.
