Nothing has changed in Cuba since December 17, 2014. It is still a totalitarian police state that denies civil liberties to its people. Free markets and a judicial system based on the rule of law does not exist there.
The author of this piece completely leaves out the fact that Cuba's dissidents are suffering heightened repression, and there are many political prisoners rotting in Castro's filthy gulag. Dissidents are being beaten, attacked with machetes, tortured, imprisoned and executed.
The New York Times does not report the truth. It is in cahoots with the Castro regime.
