Anger is raw yet all anger is not the same and does not come from the same source. It is easier to handle anger when you know what kind you are facing.

Letting go is a practice that becomes easier with effort. We are conditioned to do otherwise so it may seem unnatural at first.

Do we need to be right all of the time? Do we have to hit the bullseye of socially accepted beliefs?

Respect is an important factor in our well being even if we do not realize it. For highly sensitive people it is critical to our health and performance.

Approval seeking is something few want to admit to. Approval is a big challenge and often misunderstood which is why it keeps messing with our lives.

The message of depression lies in its ability to lead us to our real Self. When understood it can help HSP's feel better about themselves.

Aliveness is the gentle presence of universal energy. It is a wonderful place to be, supportive and gentle. Why not try to live there all of the time?

Introduction
I am the writer and webmaster for Sensitive Evolution, a website that promotes the self actualization of highly sensitive people. It includes a library about the highly sensitive trait, a blog, newsletter, ebook, and online classes. It covers:
  • the definition of a highly sensitive person and traits of the highly sensitive person
  • identity challenges of HSPs
  • stress of highly sensitive people
  • social challenges including marginalization, bullying and anxiety
  • alternative health solutions including Ayurveda, energy medicine and herbal remedies
  • resources

As a highly sensitive person I have long been interested in personal development and health. I became interested in alternative health as a way to handle the stress challenges of high sensitivity. To that end,I practice Transcendental Meditation, follow Ayurveda as much as I can, and practice some yoga as well as NIA. I am interested in alternative healing methods, energy medicine and have become a reiki master/teacher.

I am an artist; I create abstract oil paintings.

I am an avid reader about
  • evolutional psychology
  • the environment
  • simpler living
  • the current evolution of the human race, including human and animal rights
  • social media and the internet.

I love animals and have rescued many and had as many as five rescue pets at once. I watch little TV because I hate violent programming.  I listen to new age music, more than other kinds because it has a great quality of spaciousness that supports my creative efforts; I also find that I need nature in order to feel happy and grounded.
