Introduction
I am the writer and webmaster for HSP Health, a website that promotes the self actualization of highly sensitive people. It includes a library about the highly sensitive trait, a blog, newsletter, ebook, and online classes. It covers:
  • the definition of a highly sensitive person, traits of the highly sensitive person as well as the introvert personality
  • stress as it relates to highly sensitive people
  • social stress including bullying and anxiety
  • relief of mental stress and depression
  • alternative health solutions including Ayurveda, energy medicine and herbal remedies
  • resources

As a highly sensitive person I have long been interested in health. I became interested in alternative health as a way to handle the stress challenges of high sensitivity. To that end,I practice Transcendental Meditation, follow Ayurveda as much as I can, and practice some yoga as well as NIA. I am interested in alternative healing methods, energy medicine and have become a reiki master/teacher.

I am an artist; I create abstract oil paintings.

I am an avid reader about
  • evolutional psychology
  • the environment
  • simpler living
  • the current evolution of the human race, including human and animal rights
  • social media and the internet.

I love animals and have rescued many and had as many as five rescue pets at once.  Once I stopped traffic on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston (where the Boston Marathon is held) to save a squirrel, who promptly bit me. I also have trained my cats to abstain from chasing and killing birds.  Seriously!  Yes, they look at me like I have lost it, but it is a small price to pay.

I watch little TV because I hate violent programming.  I listen to new age music, more than other kinds because it has a great quality of spaciousness that supports my creative efforts; I also find that I need nature in order to feel happy and grounded.
