The Ke Kilohana condominium development is located at 988 Halekauwila St, which is the former site of the Dixie-Grill restaurant and across the street from Sports Authority. It’s part of the 60-acre Ward Village project with a lottery for the reserve units.

The development is expected to be completed in late 2018 or early 2019 and will be located on the proposed rail line. At the base of Ke Kilohana will be a 23,000-square-foot Longs Drugs store, which will be the only commercial tenant for the building. Ke Kilohana is being constructed by the Howard Hughes Corporation and their first development in Ward Village.

First, off the top let me get this out. A #home #buyer that expects a used home to be delivered like it’s new construction would do better working with a #builder and for some home #buyers it’s the better choice. Existing #homes have issues, some are minor and some major. The purpose of a home inspection is to find major defects that would cause the home buyer not to want to move forward with the #transaction or at the very least have unknown needed repairs completed by the #seller. A home inspection should never be held out as a negotiation tool, when it’s clear the issue is minor or indicates it could of very well gone unnoticed by the seller.

This particular neighborhood in Honolulu, the Woodlawn neighborhood, has some outstanding things about the way it looks and its way of life that are worth highlighting.

If you are planning to retire in Hawaii, this neighborhood should be on your must-see list. For many reasons, Woodlawn may be considered a retiree’s dream neighborhood. It’s peaceful and quiet, while also offering a diverse range of housing options. This, along with the vibrant mix of very educated seniors and other age groups who choose to live here, makes the neighborhood more retiree-friendly than 97 percent of neighborhoods in Hawaii. In addition to being an excellent choice for active retirees, this neighborhood is also a very good choice for highly educated executives and urban sophisticates.

The Colony at the Peninsula consists of three phases, built by Standford Carr, Developer and completed between 2004 and 2006. Each unit is rather spacious and the one bedroom units are some of the largest on the island at 900 square feet. Units come with 9′ ceilings and gorgeous hardwood entryways greet you at the door, which lead you into your gourmet kitchen with granite countertops. The sumptuous living includes soft carpet with extra padding to ease away the stress of the day. Large Travertine tiles lead you into the relaxing extra deep soaking tub/shower and master bedrooms are oversized with walk-in closets.

Are you ready or have you considered taking the plunge and becoming a #homeowner ? Being single or married, with or without children, man or woman; owning a #home is one of the wisest decisions you can make. Take the lead in your future and control your own life. Waiting and paying #rent simply isn’t the best decision for most #millennials in the long term. It’s a big step that may appear challenging for some of you, but it’s not impossible and you have some great option.

Most #neighborhoods have a mixture of #home or #condominium sizes from small to large, but here the concentration of studios and other small living spaces is at near-record heights. With 99.7 percent of the #realestate here of this small size, this most assuredly is a notable feature that makes this neighborhood unique, along with just a handful of other neighborhoods in the U.S. that share this characteristic.

A  #shortsale  is when a  #property  is  #sold  for less than its remaining  #mortgage  principal balance, and executed as a way for both the existing  #homeowner  and  #mortgagelender  to reduce their respective losses by avoiding a  #foreclosure .

Typically, short sales are reserved for situations of extreme #financial hardship; just prior a  #bank  beginning foreclosure proceedings.

I was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. At 23 I joined the U.S. Navy and my first and only duty station was NAS Barbers Point in Hawaii. I was active duty for 6 years and in the reserves for 3 years. I loved Hawaii so much; I have made it my home now for the last 34 years. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelors degree in Business and Marketing major. I have worked for various companies over the years in sales and sales management. I have been a Realtor Associate since May of 2003. I became a Realtor/Broker January of 2011. I love helping people find their perfect home. I will work with a client as long as it takes to find it. I am extremely tenacious and want only what is best for my clients. I have worked as a mortgage loan officer also in my past and have been registered with the S.E.C. with a Series 6, Series 63 & Series 3. I also held a Hawaii Life & Health insurance License. I use my financial skills to assist my clients with their financing and understanding the loan process. If a long-term approach is needed, I assist in preparing budgets and teaching how to pay off debt. When working with a seller I want to ensure their home sells. I always go through your home with you to ensure it will be in the best position it can to sell as quickly as possible. That includes assisting in staging your home, recommending repairs and/or minor upgrades that will set your home apart from your competition. I am extremely detailed and meticulous and take care of my clients like I would my own family.

Personal: Married. My husband and I live in Pearl City with our 4 cats. I love animals and understand the difficulties of pet owners in transitioning to a new home. Pets are part of the family and any decisions in finding a new home require taking into account the needs or our pets.
