The struggle and the rescue
I'm in a prison. The bars hold me in tightly. Each year the walls get thicker... each moment the bars gets stronger. I scream, "God hear me!" but my voice is lost in the raging storm around me. The World is screaming at me, calling for my attention, pulling...

Letters to God
God, I don't understand why. I don't know why life has turned out like this. I have told you before... don't lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5) But... I am so messed up. I stuff up every single day. I don't get the message. I didn't die for those...

Psalm 107: The relentless and fearsome love of God!
I was reading some Psalm 107 today in my devotional time and it has completely blown me away. It shows us an incredible example of the fearsome and awesome love of God. The Psalm starts off by praising God for his unfailing love towards his people and sets ...

I found this task to be interesting and very fun to do. I sat down and wrote out the reasons why I wanted to be a teacher and how my previous experiences and education has helped me so far on my learning journey. It took me a while to work out how to use the program and upload music and my voice etc, but once I got into it, it was really fun. I see this as a valuable tool for learning and reflection and believe if I found it useful it would also be useful to use in the classroom for both teachers and students.

I really enjoyed researching plane and found it so helpful when I was trying to work out how to record my voice and upload it. I had never used technology in this way before and am so excited that it worked! :) Looking forward to using it more in the future!

Hi Jane and fellow students :)

Ok I looked at the Australian Curriculum and have tried to pick an easier content descriptor to use for the assignment. I'm thinking of using:

Mathematics / Year 2 / Number and Algebra / Number and place value (ACMNA030)

Solve simple addition and subtraction problems using a range of efficient mental and written strategies

Elaborations:
becoming fluent with a range of mental strategies for addition and subtraction problems, such as commutativity for addition, building to 10, doubles, 10 facts and adding 10

modelling and representing simple additive situations using materials such as 10 frames, 20 frames and empty number lines

And my digital resource: http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/mathgames/monkeydrive/addition/MDadd20.htm

My only concern is do we have to teach the whole content descriptor in the one lesson? I think it would take a couple of lessons to fully teach all the elaborations etc. This would be just the first lesson in a series. Is that acceptable?
