Here's a wonderful follow-up story on the White City, a rich archeological site found several years ago by a UH research team led by Dr. Ramesh Shrestha.
In 2012, a team from the University of Houston few a high-tech scanning aircraft over remote a Central American jungle, and detected hints of an immense lost city buried in the forest. The discovery remained unconfirmed, until National Geographic accompanied an expedition to verify the extraordinary findings in person. October is #BreastCancerAwareness month, and UH professor, Dr. Audrius Brazdeikis, has found a safer and faster method for detecting breast cancer: magnetic sensing.
