Way understaffed. Food took forever and then we watched it sit in the window. They tried to stick us with gratuity that was not deserved. The burger was a mess which would have been okay if the paper towels weren't contained in some sort of medieval paper towel trap. The decor was nothing special. The fries were okay at best. Just an overall disappointment. So many other places on Sanibel I'd love to have tried and lunch here seemed like a huge waste of time. Go someplace else.

Hands down the best burger I have ever tasted. I am not sure what they do but the beef just has a great taste. Do yourself a favor and grab a bike, peruse the island and then head to Cheeburger Cheeburger. It is a great way to replenish the means necessary, in the tastiest way possible, to keep riding the island.

Best burgers! And there loaded fries were amazing! I was pleased with there fast service and friendliness. Easy to get to and lots of parking and no wait to get seated. We will go again.

The burger was meh. The wait was really long, like almost 45 - 50 minutes. Our waiter was very nice but kind of slow for refills but it wasn't his fault. The place seemed understaffed for our visit. The best part was the Loaded Fries though. You won't find fries like that anywhere else!

One of my favorite restaruants. The onion rings are fantastic and the make your own burger and shake is superb. If you go during the rush you will wait a little while but that is to be expected most anywhere, just walk around and enjoy yourself.

Let me start off by apologizing to all of the fans of this restaurant. I am truly sorry for what I am about to write. We had heard from a local that the burgers at this place were good so we decided to try it out. From the minute I walked into this dive I knew that it was going to be bad....this place is filthy. When you look down you see dirty carpets and when you look up you find dusty cobwebs in the rafters. I know that the place is supposed to have a Fifties feel to it but c'mon man it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the fifties. Service took too long and when he finally came over to take our order he said "Do you know what you want??" (I should have told him yeah, I wanna get out of here). Enough said about the waitstaff...I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say that it must have been his first day of work....on his first job ever. At this time I am not going to attempt to describe the food that we attempted to eat because I am getting nauseous just thinking about it. Now I am not a picky eater by all means, but when I have to CHOKE down a burger, you know there is a problem. There were more onions and red peppers then actual burger and I had to cut it with a knife and fork to eat it. It was so greasy that it immediately fell apart the first time I picked it up. I thought I would be able to wash down the slop in my mouth with a handful of fries or onion rings (if that's what you want to call them)....WRONG, they sucked as well. (Ok I just threw up in my mouth a little bit) Honestly, I truly believe that the entire meal had been sitting under a hot lamp for about an hour before being served to us. The best part of my meal was the mason jar of water. I NEVER write reviews....ever....but I feel this one had to be written. Especially after reading all of the reviews before mine. I hope that the earlier reviews show a true reflection on what this place is really like and hope that my experience was just a one time nightmare. I guess I will never really find out because my family and I will never return.

Solid diner atmosphere and a fun make-your-own burger menu. The food was very good. Lots of free toppings. Caution: grease. The shake one of us got was "watered down". All in all, we'd go again on a future trip.

This was my first time at Cheeburger Cheeburger, and I wish there were one closer to where I live so I could go again sooner! I have to say that the location and atmosphere really caught the "feel" of Sanibel Island, though I thought some of the furnishings (table and chairs) were a little "old" feeling. The burger I had was cooked perfectly, and was one of the best "thick" burgers I've had. The fries were also a home run - perfect balance between seasoning and potato. Someone in our party ran into some confusion with milkshakes (chocolate versus black and white), but thanks to a patient waitress, he was able to get it how he wanted.
