Canaveral Princess on 7/5/15....What a fantastic experience from easy online booking to having our huge catch cleaned and separated into meal size portions! These guys (and gal) gave us first class service. Captain Craig made sure most everyone on the boat had an opportunity to fight a big fish, First Mate Drew kept everyone rigged up and in the water, the very sweet Galley Gal was spot on with service and Mark the Englishman at the stern kept us laughing all day! The restrooms were very clean and tended too regularly, they even had a ladies room! The crew was happy to share their live bait & fishing pointers. All the crew members smiled and carried on great conversation. Perfect trip in all ways! For the record, the Captain can't make fish bite or control the weather conditions......So don't be cheap, fish or no fish, be grateful for a safe day on the ocean and tip the crew, after all don't you expect to be paid when you work for someone. Thanks to the Canaveral Princess crew members for making Ashley and Ian's trip a great experience....We'll tell ten people, We'll be back and we'll for sure bring friends!

We went out on the shark fishing trip on the Orlando Princess. This is very stable boat with plenty of room on deck and up on the top deck. The crew was great, very helpful and friendly. It was a beautiful evening and the beer was ice cold and all you can drink You had a choice of a burger or dog for dinner, and you can buy more if you are still hungry. We did not catch many fish, but it was not for the lack of trying. The crew left out a huge chum-line, they were just not biting. Well, that's fishing! I caught a small barracuda that followed my bait (a menhaden) up form the bottom. Several baby hammerheads were caught an tossed back. 2 legal sized atlantic sharp nosed were caught, one had a baby sea turtle in it's stomach. Forty bucks of entertainment, absolutely, a deal really. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

I went fishing on this boat may 2014, and it was by far the worst fishing trip I have ever been on. I have been deep sea fishing for over 40 years. They would not let us take anything to drink on the boat. Then they would not take us to where the big fish were. All the other boats I have been on, we would catch Grouper, red snapper, and many other big fish. I did not see one red snapper caught. And if you are not catching red snapper, you wont be catching any big fish. All the Mates agreed with me, and said I was right. But could not do anything about it. They said they just work there. But the bad thing was the Capt. did not give a rates ass about it. Sad Sad Sad

AVOID AVOID AVOID. IF YOU WANT TO CATCH FISH!!!!! This party boat doesn't deserve a star to be honest, maybe only the female working the snack bar. We have went out 3 times in the past year and have caught very few fish. We went out yesterday and got totally shut down. We paid the extra money to fish in the back of the boat but unfortunately the captain and the mates tailored the day towards the females (assuming they were there girlfriends/wife's) which were on the side of the boat. Not only that the captain himself is out there fishing with an already packed boat and god for bid you hook onto a fish the captain this throwing a free line right over the top of you. This happened on all 3 occasions, he is too busy trying to fish himself that he can't keep us on a spot, if your customers aren't catching fish why are you out there man?! We went back with them because of the deckhand who was working his tail off the previous 2 trips but seems to be no longer employed with the boat. their equipment is trash and about to fall apart. When I got off the boat with all my gear which was extremely fast since we didn't have any fish to be cleaned the captain was already by his truck with his bag of fish taking off for the day. I hope this will stop people from going to this terrible party boat or management will find a new captain

I am visiting here from California and I wanted to do something great with my nine year old son and my pop. Well I definitely found it!! The crew on this trip was attentive, knowledgable and super friendly. Didn't matter what your skill level was they were "on-it". A special shout-out to mates Jimmy, Zack and Chris who made our day memorable, went over-and-above for my kid and helped my son wrestle a 7ft shark!! He also caught the biggest fish of his life!! A memory he'll not soon forget. Another special thanks to Ed in the galley! Thanks for the conversation and keeping up with the crazy on-demand food orders. All in all the trip was well worth the money spent. The day was glass and the Captain was marking fish like crazy...Great job Capt. Everybody on the boat caught something it seemed. Loads of red snapper were coming in left and right. Really great day of fishing, loads of fun, great memories. Thanks a bunch to the Cap and his crew. Rachel S. August 5, 2015

We had made a reservation a few weeks prior to our trip to Florida for a full day trip. Were told to be there at 7 a.m. Got up before 5 a.m. to drive down from Orlando, only to find no one there. At 7:30 someone showed up at the office, we went to check in and found out that they were not going out that day. Asked why no one called us since we had a reservation and no explanation was given. Screwed our whole day and not even apology. All they had to do was call us before we made the effort to be there as we were told and they could have avoided this review.

I recently took a fishing trip with Orlando Princess. I was less than impressed with the entire charter experience with the Orlando Princess. I will break this down for all of you so you know what to expect. EQUIPMENT: You should bring your own. The rods have rusty reels and guides. The first rod that was given to me had a broken first guide. I asked for a replacement and I received a left handed rod that I had to peel the line off by hand (the line should free spool off the reel). The hooks are VERY VERY dull, the one on my rod was rusty. The hooks are so dull it is difficult to hook the fish or the bait for that matter. BAIT: The bait wouldn’t stay on the hook if you felt one tiny bite on your rod your bait was gone. The bait was soft and nearly fell apart when placing it on the hook. I started using some squid as a result of losing multiple baits. One of the deck hands came by and insults me says “You don’t want to use that leather.” Why did they give me a bucket of leather then??? THE TRIP: Three plus hours of the trip was consumed by just going to the spot. A long trip on a really slow boat does not leave much time for fishing. You will be charged extra if you want to fish off the back of the boat. I would say you SHOULD fish off the back of the boat. The patrons fishing the back got more attention. Not sure if this is legal or not but the small fish that were caught were immediately chopped up and put in buckets for those at the back of the boat. Didn’t see the captain at all. The deck hands had to go tell him how things were going and then we would move again. I hope you literally like fishing elbow to elbow and tangling lines! DECK HANDS: One lady got tangled up and the deck hand basically ripped the rod out of her hand stormed off after he fixed the problem. They offered no tips other than “Just reel.” They came by at the end of the trip asking for tips though. In my opinion you would be far better off choosing a smaller more expensive charter. If you are just looking for cheap then go on this cheap charter but expect everything to be cheap. Cheap equipment service boat and so forth. Come with low expectations and you will have a better experience. I have taken charters before but this one was the worst I have ever been on.
