Plates of food will feed 2-3 people. Cost @ 25-35$ each. Food was ok, not great, my Italian is better. Sat at bar, very crowded and loud. Finally, I found someone's gum in my food (peppermint ) won't be going back.

The waiters are very polite and attentive, the food was great but a bit pricy. However each dish can feed about 2,3 or 4 people.

Overall the experience was great. Friendly and helpful staff. The rigatoni we ordered was a bit too soft and mostly broken but flavor was 👌

Carmine's has always been my go to spot in Manhattan. I don't go there often, but when I do I have to go to Carmine's. Huge family size portions of great tasting food, good mix of spices and lots of different Italian options. If you like Italian, you can't go wrong. I had just finished visiting the mall and on my way to a different restaurant I like and saw Carmine's, no idea they had a DC location! Thankfully I was able to find street parking less than a block away! When I walked in, it was the same upscale look as the Manhattan location. When the food arrived, I was impressed, just as great as Manhattan, but cheaper! So excited that I can get Carmine's less than an hour away! Now I can go a few times a year rather than just one a year.

I don't know why this restaurant has any negative review. The family style food is AMAZING. The service is good and prices are a awesome value for how much food you get

My wife is celiac and we ordered gf pasta here which was superb! The bolognese sauce with it equally good.

SO much food that was delicious and a really good value. Be careful not to over-order... The portions are huge. Reasonable drink prices too, I was pleasantly surprised.

Beware of the price on specials. Normal prices hover around $30 which makes sense for the large portions but surprise, $95 is nothing but a scam. Service was also poor. As a waiter/bartender, would over look the poor service but to be scammed into paying that made the whole experience awful.
