The Optical Society's Optics Letters turns 40 this year. Among their most cited articles (https://www.osapublishing.org/ol40/most-cited-OL-papers.cfm) is Kishan's 1997 paper with Miles Padgett “Mechanical equivalence of spin and orbital angular momentum of light: an optical spanner” at #53!

This work has underpinned many of our more recent papers, including the achievement of the fastest man-made spinning object (https://doi.org/10.1038/ncomms3374)
