I LOVE ART OF THE CATWALK!!! I became a member in January and have been so pleased with my experience thus far. The women here are so accepting and non-judgmental, especially Marion, the owner. Marion is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting - she makes you feel more than welcome every time you walk into the studio. She is very attentive and professional, not to mention, beautiful!! :) I often consider Art of the Catwalk my second home! I started out just taking the Zumba classes, but after seeing the variety of classes being offered, I had to try more! I love the Ultimate Bikini Workout and the Pilates classes - the instructors are great and the classes are fun and challenging. I have also used the services provided by the salon. I do not think I have ever been so happy with a cut and color! The stylists do a great job - actually, I have an appointment tomorrow and can't wait for my hair to look wonderful!! I am so pleased with my membership at Art of the Catwalk! Keep up the great work Marion!! :)

decent beginners gym, after a while the classes become very easy. it's expensive for the amount of classes they offer.

I absolutely LOVE this place! It keeps me motivated to stay in shape by offering such a variety of upbeat and creative classes..One class that I hate to miss and is my favorite is on Mon/Weds and Fri at 9am with Maurice, called Booty Camp...He makes you sweat and the music is awesome ..all the classes are great and I think the staff is doing a good job! Cara Aska member since Jan 2010

I signed up under a groupon and I've never regretted joining this gym. I tell all my friends about it because it actually motivated me to stay with a work out plan. The class exercises bring a great vibe that keep you motivated to keep your body moving. In a parallel fashion I have also learned to appreciate my body and feel sexy as a female. The Pole room is fun and you get to learn cool tricks that boost your sexy confidence. Personally, this is the best female gym I ve ever been to. I don’t agree with the other comments on here. I know Marion as a friend from working in out at AoTCW and I think she’s awesome. She’s always been nice to me and has a positive attitude for empowering women.

** See my edit below :-( My favorite thing about Art of the Catwalk is that I actually like working out there! I get bored exercising on machines and waiting for results, so working on something like a pole dance routine can really help me stay motivated and I see improvement in myself daily. Since it's right across from FSU, I can get a workout in before and after classes, and they are always fun and taught by friendly and helpful instructors; I don't even mind going to school sweaty because I feel great about burning calories before it’s even lunch time. My other favorite aspect about being a member at AOTC is I can enjoy butt-blasting and kickboxing classes that get my heart racing, but also classes like chair dance, and grindhouse that improve my strength but also my sex appeal! I’m not the only new member of AOTC that has become obsessed since joining—coming in during open pole hours to perfect dance moves, and laboring over which stripper shoes to buy for their routines. Once you get into you’ll know. It is so much fun, you don’t even know you are slowly improving the strength in your shoulders, your hips, your core, and more. And that goes for all classes, not just pole. :) EDIT: Unfortunately I do not have a happy update. Though everyone at Catwalk continues to remain nice, and the environment is still welcoming to all types of women, I started to become displeased with them. The main problem is the schedule. For a while at the end of my membership and last I looked, they were skimping on classes in the morning and afternoon. Most classes don't begin until 5 pm. That really didn't work with my schedule. There used to be many morning and afternoon classes, but now, for $70 a month plus $150 upfront, half a day of options just doesn't cut it. I found it odd because they spent all this time building a miniature mani/pedi salon in the lobby, but no one ever seems to go there. I wish they would have put their efforts towards more class time and instructors. One of the best pole teachers, Laura, mysteriously left many months ago, and though the remaining teachers are very nice, I have to guess something weird is going on that they couldn't keep her, or any of the other good teachers who had disappeared recently. Jost van Dyke, the pilates teacher, is fantastic though. For a while near the end I paid just for his classes twice a week. But alas, it's no longer worth it. My advice is to find Jost's classes elsewhere or even Zumba with Doreen who is probably the most helpful and genuine person there. More people need to stand up to the owner and demand a more full schedule and the Catwalk might be saved!

Ever since I stepped inside Art of the Catwalk, I knew I was going to love it! The instructors are great, and the classes are fun and full of energy. Some of my favorite classes include Jamaican dancehall, chair, and booty blast. Each instructor breaks down the moves so that the dance or series of calorie-blasting moves are easy to learn. If dancing isn’t your thing, there are also fantastic classes that work out your entire body (sweat equity, kickboxing, booty camp, etc.). Even if you just want to stretch and relax, the yoga classes will definitely help relieve stress. The relaxing music is nice for yoga, but for high-energy classes except some heart-pounding music that will make you want to move! Whatever your style, there is sure to be something for you. I also love doing pole fitness!! It has really strengthened and toned my muscles while increasing my flexibility. The feeling of accomplishing a new trick is phenomenal, and adding your own style to it is even better. The whole atmosphere at the Art of the Catwalk is not something you can experience just anywhere. Come see for yourself. Sometimes I don't come here to work out; I just come because it is fun!
