I'm not going to see The Movie until after the beginning of the year. Silly me forgot to avoid social media until then. Already, I think I stumbled upon a major spoiler because someone posted a great pic with TMI in his post. sigh

Since we're running with cool pics, here's one. We never finished the City of the Spider Queen, but it is a cool module.

A staff member writes:
When I first met Tuni, he was just so gorgeous that I couldn’t help but love him. He didn’t share my initial love-at-first-sight feeling but it didn’t take him long to warm up to me. When I come to take him out now, he dances when he sees me, ready to go for a run in the backyard. Tuni is a big fan of his time loose in the yard, enjoying his time as any husky would, running back and forth as fast as he can. I smile as I watch him, his tongue hanging loose, a dopey grin on his face. When I call to him he comes running over to show me some love. He rubs against my legs before jumping up on the bench next to me to gently kiss my face. Tuni has made many friends here at the care center but is initially tentative around strangers. However, with just a little time he is quick to turn strangers into friends. Tuni is in need of an experienced husky-lover to help him become the fun loving boy I know he can be. Tuni has shown me his best side; give him the chance to do the same for you.

Handsome Tuni is in search of New Hope partner who can work with him behaviorally. This beautiful boy has also just come down with kennel cough and will need some time to recover. Tuni has shown some signs of barrier frustration, but has warmed up with behavior staff since initially coming to the care center in September.

BEHAVIOR: NEW HOPE ONLY
Tuni look very alert, he looks intense and focused. He stands upright with his weight centered on all fours, his ears are up and forward, and his head and neck are erect. He holds his tail either in its natural position. His gaze is directed toward whatever he's detected. His mouth is typically closed. He showed some growling. Tuni was very uncomfortable with the handling the behavior department decided to skip the handling part of the assessment. Tuni did not show any interest in food, toys or rawhide.
The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
Additional feedback from Enrichment:
Tuni was initially very anxious and uncomfortable with touch. He warmed up quickly, though, and is now social toward his daily caretakers. He solicits attention (face and body rubs and licks) all with a soft body. He is the most comfortable when off leash in the backyard and is very calm and is easy to re-leash.
Tuni appears to show some barrier frustration with other dogs. He hard barks with stiff body while he is in the pen and other dogs pass by. Through a fence, even if the other dog is play bowing, Tuni exhibits frustrated barking. However, when he meets anoher dog on-leash he passes without reacting.

A few weeks ago, we at Free Spirit Siberian Rescue took in 9 pups who were scheduled to be euthanized. Within 3 weeks, we had found them all homes. The next transport is getting ready to bring us 7-9 more. We are less than $100 away from our goal to pay for the trip, and the fundraiser ends in less than a day. If anyone wants to help these pups have a happy Thanksgiving, just donate through the link below. Even if it is $5, every little bit helps.
