My food was ok but my wife who had the tour of Italy was horrible. The lasagna was over cooked and didn't even look appealing. We live in Vancouver and always go that one but we were in the area and decided to just stop by. I was staving and so was my wife but we didn't even finish our food because she was so upset. I also hate that a restaurant can tell you they're out of something.

This is the second time I have been there and contracted the Norovirus both times it's the worst, which consists of vomiting, diahrea, and loss of appetite. I ordered their all you can eat salad and soup and ate the one with potatoes with a little bit of spice. I will not be back even if someone paid me. They have also been sued for it too in Tigard.

Bad service. The food was just okay. On the rare occasion we were able to flag down our waiter, he was incredibly rude up to the point when I had to wave my credit card at him so we could finally leave, he took it, threw it back at me and said, "Your money is no good here." We finally found out on our way out the door that the manager was so taken by our five-year-old he had decided to buy us lunch. So, five stars for Ivan but his staff deserves nothing. UPDATE: The wife wanted to go back here for her birthday. The service was way better this time. Ivan remembered us and, when he found out it was the wife's birthday, gave us almost $50 worth of appetizers and deserts. I've added a star! Yay, Ivan!

I like the style and atmosphere this place has. The well-mannered staff completes the experience, in my opinion. I like the food, and it is the variety of drinks that makes matters even more awesome. Bring your friends along for some lunch/dinner.

My wife and I went here for Valentine's Day the other day, getting there around 6 or 6:30 so we knew it was going to be a very long wait. I gave one of the hostesses our name and she said it would be about an hour and fifteen minutes. No problem, we went over to Old Navy for a little bit and I set a timer on my phone for 45 minutes. We came back and checked to see if by any chance they'd called our name and we didn't know. She said no, we were still on the list and it would be about another half hour. Her tone was ever so slightly rude, but not remotely to the point of being offensive. We left again to Target to pick up a few things and basically went straight back. I decided to take a pager that time, but right when we went outside and sat down on the bench, it went off. Jason was our server and he was awesome. I've dined in enough restaurants to know the spiel: drinks first. I don't drink and my wife very rarely does. I asked about Italian sodas and she stuck with her water. I've noticed more often than not, this results in bad service, which is stupid because I always make up for it in the tip if they do a good job. But Jason kept up with his great service. The salad and bread sticks (4) arrived quickly as did our appetizers (we went with the Parmesan crusted 2 for $25, getting the chicken meatballs and risotto bites for appetizers, and me the Tilapia and her the Prosciutto Tortellini, all of which was excellent.) We got a second round of salad and bread sticks and I never felt like Jason was gone too long, or looming. Bottom line: of course Olive Garden is heat-and-serve. So is every other chain restaurant in this country. If you want real, true, authentic Italian food, there are many options in Portland, but don't expect OG to be one of those options. It is what it is and for that it's pretty good. We had a great experience on probably what is the worst night of the year to go to a restaurant like this. I don't know what all the bad reviews are about...

Heat and serve. WAAAAAY overpriced for the crappy food you get. I can go to an organic restaurant and get Italian food for the same (if not cheaper). I got their cheesecake and the whipped cream had crinkle marks in it that looked as though it had had Saran Wrap over it until thy served it to me. The cocktails are disgusting and are so sugary I had to add water to it and it was still terrible. WorWord
