What can you do in Google+ with a terabyte of storage in Google Drive?

"How big is a terabyte anyway?  Well, that’s enough storage for you to take a selfie twice a day for the next 200 years and still have room left over for… shall we say… less important things."

Check out Google Drive's newly announced, more affordable plans (don't worry; your 15 GB is still free!).

Save more with Google Drive

Whether it's all the footage of your kids' baseball games, the novel you're working on, or even just your grocery list for the week, we all have files that are too important to lose. That’s why today we're making it more affordable for you to keep everything safe and easy to reach on any device, from anywhere.

We've lowered the price of our monthly #GoogleDrive storage plans to $1.99 for 100GB (previously $4.99), $9.99 for 1TB (previously $49.99), and $99.99 for 10TB, with even more storage available if you need it. Like before, storage continues to work across +Google Drive, +Gmail, and +Google+ Photos. And, of course, the 15GB plan remains free. Sign up for a plan now at www.google.com/settings/storage

Want to learn more? Head over to the Drive blog for details: http://goo.gl/cuOPn7

Tip of the Week: How to adjust the mix of posts in your Home stream

This week's Tip of the Week comes from +Jaana Nyström, a Google+ Top Contributor in the Google+ Help community.

When you log into Google+, you’ll see posts from the people and pages you follow, as well as the communities you’ve joined, in your Home stream. With just a few clicks, you can customize this Home stream, so you can see more updates from your Family circle or Cute Puppies community, and less from other circles and communities; however you want to make your Home stream your own!

Show more or less from your circles

Want less updates from a specific circle, like your Birdwatching circle, and more from your Runners circle?

Go to the Home tab, click More in the top menu , and select one of your Circles from the drop down menu. In the In this circle section in the top right, click on the gear icon and choose Show posts in Home stream, where you can select Fewer, Standard, or More posts.

Unchecking Show posts in Home stream mutes the Circle, and you won’t see posts from anyone in that Circle in your Home stream.

Show more or less from a community

Visit one of your communities, and click on the gear above the community’s profile pic. Once again, check or uncheck Show posts in Home stream, and if checked, you can choose   Fewer, Standard, or More posts.

Regardless of your settings, you can always visit a specific circle or community to see everything that’s been shared.

Fun Fact Friday: How to restore photos from Trash

Follow our weekly posts that highlight some cool things you may not know (brownie points if you do!) about how to make the most of Google+.

Accidentally delete that irreplaceable photo from Paris? Never fear! You can restore Photos from your Trash within 60 days of deletion.

When you delete Photos on Google+ and your Photos app, it goes into Trash.

On desktop, go to the left-hand menu and visit Photos > More > Trash. To restore a photo, select the check mark on the photo’s thumbnail, and you’ll select Restore at the top of the page.

On the Android Google Photos app, tap the left-hand Photos menu and tap Trash. To restore a photo, tap and hold the photo’s thumbnail and tap the undo arrow at the top right of the app.

In Trash, you can also choose to permanently delete one or all photos.

Remember, you have 60 days to restore photos from Trash, so delete wisely. And when in doubt, visit your Trash!

Note that Trash is not accessible on iOS.

Get #Hoffsome  this April Fools' Day!

We really can't get enough of Auto Awesomes, and this time, they got Hoffsome.

Introducing Auto Awesome Photobombs with +David Hasselhoff

Google+ Auto Awesome is all about fun surprises that bring your photos to life. Capture a quick burst of photos, and you’ll get an animated GIF. Take a series of portraits, and you’ll get a photobooth-style collage.

Today we’re announcing Auto Awesome Photobombs. What’s more fun than Benedict Cumberbatch photobombing U2 at The Oscars (http://goo.gl/WrLi1Z)? Or Michelle Obama at The White House (http://goo.gl/0LMPCa)? A good photobomb can turn an ordinary photo into something special and put a smile on your face. Now with Auto Awesome, celebrities can make a spontaneous appearance in your pictures!

We’re starting with +David Hasselhoff naturally, everyone’s favorite crime-fighting rockstar lifeguard.

To get your own photobomb, upload a new self portrait or group photo with friends, and leave a little room for The Hoff. He might just make a surprise appearance. :-)

P.S. You can also mention +David Hasselhoff in your public posts and comments. If you’re lucky he’ll add some awesome to the conversation.

Hi +Yusuf Hussain. There is no way to apply to have your profile verified. The only path to being verified is come to the attention of the appropriate people at Google because you are a well-known celebrity or because your activity on Google+ is recognized by Google for its quality and acceptance. Posting lots of high quality material and build a large following (but not by joining spammy shared circles). It takes a lot of time and work to get there.

Fun Fact Friday: Play with the new Photos editor on Android!

Follow our weekly posts that highlight some cool things you may not know (brownie points if you do!) about how to make the most of Google+.

When you take photos from your Google+ app on Android, editing them is a cinch: just click the pencil icon and get swiping!

Open your favorite photo, and try out filters like Drama, Vintage, Retrolux and more. Go ahead, try them all.

Pro tip: If you want a more subtle change, try adjusting your Auto Enhance to Normal or High intensity in the Photos editor.

Tip of the Week: Share an album with someone not yet on Google+

This week's Tip of the Week comes from +Michael Banks, a Google+ Top Contributor in the Google+ Help community.

Here are two ways to share your photo album with friends and family who aren't yet on Google+:

1) From the left-hand side menu, visit Photos > More > Albums, and open the album you’d like to share.
2) Click the Share button at the top right of the page.
3) Type one or more email addresses in the To: field, and click Share.

The people you’ve listed will receive an email with a link to your album.

1) From the left-hand side menu, visit Photos > More > Albums, and open the album you’d like to share.
2) Open the arrow menu at the top right of the page, and click Sharing options.
3) Click Share via link.
4) Copy the link and paste it wherever you’d like to share.

Share this link with care, because people you send it to can share it with others.

Finally, you can always change your mind about who can see your album. Just go to the album, open the arrow menu at the top right of the page, open Sharing options, and add or remove people as you see fit.
