Had to attend at 11pm with my moggy who was in quite a lot of pain from cystitis. Appointment was quick, clean, friendly, good follow-up and cat is looking much better.

This place is amazing! Whilst away on our honeymoon we had the dreaded phone call to tell us one of our cats had been hit by a car and was critically ill. Against the odds they managed to save him, not giving up on him and calling us with updates till we returned to UK. Can't thank you enough! Refreshing to have such a quality, friendly practice that has the animals best wishes at heart and not just making a profit.

Very unprofessional service. We went for an annual checkup and vaccination. The doctor didn't do a proper checkup, didn't to stamp the passport and forgot to make one of the vaccine.

I was sorry to learn that the recent appointment had disappointed you. In unusual instances when any client is not fully satisfied with our service I am keen to make amends and only wish that you had contacted me at the time in order that I could take measures to help. I do hope that you will do so now so that we can discuss what happened and resolve the matter to your complete satisfaction. I can be contacted at the Wanstead Veterinary Hospital or by email on Jeremy Robinson General Manager

I've used this vet a few times now for my dogs and only when I've felt it had been very necessary. I usually prefer my old vet but they are 180 miles away, so I go to Goddards when something more urgent needs attention and I have to say I am less than impressed. I get the gerneral feeling that this particular Vets is about money. They seem to rack up every appointment I've had with them, unnecessarily adding things to the bill. I feel as though no genuine care is given about my dogs and they just go over basic routine procedure with no real care or concern. They seem more interested in trying to get me to pay more money for multiple things rather than offering any real solution to the issue. For instance, after seeing one of my dogs today with a problem with her hind leg giving way and she keeps collapsing. He offered no useful information whatsoever and after saying she didn't appear to be in any pain they still suggested I buy painkillers, he also insisted on cutting her nails (which were due but I always do them myself and would have that day) He did perform a gerneral check (temp, heart rate...) but it wasn't until asking serval questions and having to reiterate my concerns for her leg giving way that he finally mentioned looking at her trying to walk. Even after that he didn't offer any useful help. I felt like I was trying to get blood out of a stone. He did say she could have an X-ray but couldn't tell me when or how useful that would be as he didn't seem to know what they should be looking for. I was more concerned that she'd had a stroke to which he replied "she could have done". The whole appointment was bloody useless and cost me a total of £73.63 for basically 5 minutes of bugger all!! Needless to say I will be making the 180 mile journey in the morning to see my usual vets, who on a phone call were more useful than the staff at this place!!!

I've taken my 2 cats to this vet a few times now and every time there has been any sort of procedure to carry out, there have been problems - most recently, a blood test which has resulted in a gash on my cat's neck and they didn't even manage to get a blood sample. This means that I have a sick, very distressed cat and we have to go through the whole thing again. I won't be using these guys again. I don't think they know how to work with cats. Neither of my cats are aggressive or difficult - one of them is a rescue cat who came via a friend of mine and has been seen by other vets with no problems. Goddard keep telling me that my cats are 'very strong' and temperamental. These guys are meant to be experts and I would expect them to be able to do what's needed to work with 3.5kg cats whether they are 'very strong' or not!!

I was very sorry to hear of your comments and that we had disappointed you. I can assure you that all of our veterinary and nursing staff are highly trained in the care of cats and all of our practices are members of International Cat Care and the International Society Of Feline Medicine. I would certainly be happy to investigate and deal with your concerns further, if you chose to contact me directly with the details of your recent visit. I can be contacted by email on Jeremy Robinson General Manager

Had to take my very old cat in in the middle of the night when she suddenly had little control of her limbs and became unresponsive where she was unfortunately put to sleep. However a very nice and kind vet checked her over fully and provided me with all options. Was nice to have someone available to see her late at night when most vets are closed, and she was seen straight away.

We have been going to this vets for a number of year, & felt that they where good people........until today. They put down a stay cat we took in because he had Cat Aids, we had even told them we were interested in taking him in (even though we knew he had it). They told me that they had treated him, with "euthanasia", but as far as I'm aware no animal gets better from being killed. They didn't even speak to us before doing it, just left a voice may, disgusting. Never will I take my cats to them again.
