I've taken my 2 cats to this vet a few times now and every time there has been any sort of procedure to carry out, there have been problems - most recently, a blood test which has resulted in a gash on my cat's neck and they didn't even manage to get a blood sample. This means that I have a sick, very distressed cat and we have to go through the whole thing again. I won't be using these guys again. I don't think they know how to work with cats. Neither of my cats are aggressive or difficult - one of them is a rescue cat who came via a friend of mine and has been seen by other vets with no problems. Goddard keep telling me that my cats are 'very strong' and temperamental. These guys are meant to be experts and I would expect them to be able to do what's needed to work with 3.5kg cats whether they are 'very strong' or not!!

I was very sorry to hear of your comments and that we had disappointed you. I can assure you that all of our veterinary and nursing staff are highly trained in the care of cats and all of our practices are members of International Cat Care and the International Society Of Feline Medicine. I would certainly be happy to investigate and deal with your concerns further, if you chose to contact me directly with the details of your recent visit. I can be contacted by email on Jeremy Robinson General Manager

Very unprofessional service. We went for an annual checkup and vaccination. The doctor didn't do a proper checkup, didn't to stamp the passport and forgot to make one of the vaccine.

I was sorry to learn that the recent appointment had disappointed you. In unusual instances when any client is not fully satisfied with our service I am keen to make amends and only wish that you had contacted me at the time in order that I could take measures to help. I do hope that you will do so now so that we can discuss what happened and resolve the matter to your complete satisfaction. I can be contacted at the Wanstead Veterinary Hospital or by email on Jeremy Robinson General Manager

We have been going to this vets for a number of year, & felt that they where good people........until today. They put down a stay cat we took in because he had Cat Aids, we had even told them we were interested in taking him in (even though we knew he had it). They told me that they had treated him, with "euthanasia", but as far as I'm aware no animal gets better from being killed. They didn't even speak to us before doing it, just left a voice may, disgusting. Never will I take my cats to them again.

Had to take my very old cat in in the middle of the night when she suddenly had little control of her limbs and became unresponsive where she was unfortunately put to sleep. However a very nice and kind vet checked her over fully and provided me with all options. Was nice to have someone available to see her late at night when most vets are closed, and she was seen straight away.

We used the Mile end branch for maybe 8 years. They totally missed the diagnosis on our cat Fleur for 2-3 years. On their advice, we arranged a dental appointment which on the day suddenly more than doubled in price to over £500. They made a show of re-checking Fleur and insisted this work was necessary. I didnt feel good about this and went to a local vet for a 2nd opinion. In less than 2 MINUTES the vet diagnosed a serious thyroid issue and racing heart rate, dismissing the dental issue as NON EXISTENT! All he did was look at her eyes, check her heart rate, took barely a minute. Our cat had been loosing weight for 2-3years, it turned out to be a thyroid condition which has now been treated, shes gaining weight and is much better. BUT she is now virtually BLIND and we have been advised may have other organ damage as a result. It was more than one vet at Goddards for YEARS - Couldnt be more upset for our poor cat.
