He spends a lot of the time looking around the room, and eventually he resides to leaning against a window to produce patterns of frost on the glass before idly tracing images and shapes into them with his index finger; not wanting to stray away from Nuri and deciding that it would be better to leave Eve alone. When he hears movement coming from the hallway outside the room, he blinks and quickly turns his head to see outcast walking towards him. A smile instantly forms on his mouth, feeling relieved at her presence again, though when he hears her words he feels a pang of worry jab at his chest. His brows lightly furrow as he walks over to her, noticing the other two aren't with her and feeling a little anxious at the lack of people also. What's wrong..? He manages to shut out most of his worry from affecting is voice, searching Outcast's eyes in the weak lighting from the moon.
Sure it may be unrecognisable to the human eye at first, but it can happen; the process just takes a long while. Because everyone forgets how easy it is to fall so quickly, but far fewer get to learn that despite everything, sometimes people can pick themselves back up again.
I wonder why it took me so long to realise that..? :)
He shakes his head as he rolls his eyes subtly, still smiling a little as he heads back out into the hallway.
my contraception or to the contraception.
His eyes widen a hint the second Eve hugs him, however he soon relaxes himself enough to reciprocate the gesture with a small chuckle after listening to Eve's words. Because I'm not the only one who's holding on, and sure you whine..a lot.. But you're still my friend, Eve. The more he listens to Eve talk about herself and asking about what he wants in return, the more he realises that actually, he really doesn't want anything. And that even though he knows that Eve is well.. Eve, it doesn't mean that she's incapable of feeling things or being a friend in return; he's aware that she puts on some 'facade' and acts as though she doesn't always care, and to him it seems pointless, exhausting even. But it's just how she is. It's never meant that he can't see the person underneath that she pretends not to be, he knows that it's there but he also knows that both 'aspects' of Eve can't be changed. And when he thinks about it, he doesn't think he'd want it to be, otherwise she wouldn't be herself. The very fact that she's capable of doing something like that 24/7 in a way means she a lot stronger than he might have previously given her credit for. It takes a while for him to respond, hearing how tired that she's getting and letting her stay put. Honestly.. I don't think I've ever set out to get something or wanted anything. I wouldn't from any friend because I don't see it like you 'owing me something' just because I'm nice to you.. I guess I just like to see people happy..? So if anything, that's what I'd prefer to have.. He lets out another small laugh, so quiet that it's almost under his breath after finding himself beginning to trail off with both his thoughts and words that he doubts Eve can even grasp in her obviously tired state.
He shakes his head promptly after that, looking at her and slowly removing her from the hug in case she's too tired to stand by herself Maybe skip the bath tonight and just get some sleep..? It's already pretty late.
Growing up, chances are you've heard of me.
No? Well I'm Jack. Jack Frost. I'm the one behind that feeling when a cold kiss of air nips at your nose, or when a blast of cool air transforms a window into a drawing board, and reason for all of those snow days? Me right here. I can control the Winter weather, like ice, and snow...I conjure them and bend them to my will. But it's not always fun and games; even though I'd love that, you see, I'm a Guardian. More importantly, the Guardian of fun.
Oh, and did I mention that I hold the record on the Naughty List? ;D
