Lots of people will be going on their first camping trip of the season soon. What gear would you recommend that they take with them? Do you have any advice for camping newbies?

It's really important to make sure you are comfortable and warm, otherwise camping can be rubbish! So my number 1 tip is:

When you're in a tent, night time in the UK is often much colder than you think it will be, even in the middle of summer! Make sure you have ample bedding, a hot water bottle and extra layers to keep you snuggly and warm in bed.

Before you rush out to buy a new one though, have a read of this blog post on the pros and cons of inflatable tents: http://bit.ly/1nxWe1g

One of the best things about camping and caravanning in the UK is that you get to see some of these amazing places: http://bzfd.it/1JUN4W7
Can you recommend anywhere else that should have made the list?
The United Kingdom is known for being overcast, wet, and rainy. And it is! But it can also be a beautiful and diverse place as well.
