One of my favorite places to dine in LA. You can buy tamales in bulk and freeze them. Parking can be a problem but we always seem to find a spot. If not, it's worth the walk!

if you like tamales, you must come here. the food is awesome. i purchased a bunch of their tamales and sides for my birthday party one year and there was dead silence as everyone was devouring the food. it's so good! they have all types of tamales from different countries. they are made fresh everyday. plus, it's a non-profit, so you feel good giving them your money. great prices too!

Love the thought and higher purpose in their decor; working with local artists to raise awareness on social issues in a warm, approachable way that won't make you lose your appetite! I've only been here once, but the staff was very welcoming. They were also proactive, answering all my vegan related questions and those of my aunt who can't consume oil, all without batting an eye. This is a staff that is happy to work with you to make sure you have a happy dining experience. Vegan note: they have veg-friendly tamales! Hurray!
