A posting for “Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition” has been spotted on UK games retailer ShopTo

With Tokyo Games Show currently taking place, many are hoping for additional details on Street Fighter V‘s next DLC character, along with news on the long-rumored/speculated “Super” Street Fighter V update. Well, a recent posting by UK games retailer ShopTo suggests that we may indeed be seeing this enhanced edition coming in early 2018.

Titled Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, the posting carried a January 16th release date, with a RRP of £39.99. Based on this, one can imagine that this version of Street Fighter V would come with all of the characters from Season 1 and 2, along with the rumored “Super” updates. Based on the name, you’d also assume that it would finally have Arcade Mode as well!

The posting has since been removed by ShopTo, which suggests that they either put it up ahead of an announcement from Tokyo Games Show, or that it is just an outright mistake. Several games have been leaked before via early postings on online retailers, so I’d keep your fingers crossed for solid news later this week.

Fortnite Battle Royal will be Free for everybody from September 26
On September 26, Fortnite Battle Royale will be free for everyone on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Mac.

• What’s Fortnite Battle Royale?

It’s a 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite that will be free for everybody on Sept. 26. One giant map. A battle bus. Fortnite building skills and destructible environments combined with intense PvP combat. The last one standing wins.

• So, what’s the catch?

No catch. Fortnite Battle Royale is free and we will not sell items that give a competitive advantage. At some point in the future we will sell other things including cosmetics or compendium-like content.

• Squads are Coming!

On September 26, Fortnite Battle Royale will introduce squads. Also, we’re working to improve the feel of combat, controls, weapons, movement and inventory.

• “Save the World” PvE Updates

Fortnite’s “Save the World” PvE campaign remains in paid Early Access and we have lots of great updates in the works including the previously announced “Block Party” mode and some spooky October content.

• How Can I Play?

On September 26, Battle Royale will be available as a free download on the Epic Games PC launcher, PlayStation Store and Xbox Store.

Monster Hunter World SDCC Panel Finally Gets Direct Feed Video; Shows Impressive Footage and Art
Capcom showcases how the Ancient Forest area in Monster Hunter World and its monsters were created with impressive pictures and video footage.

Back at the end of July, Capcom hosted a Monster Hunter World panel at San Diego Comic Com, but unfortunately we never saw direct feed footage of it, until now.

Today the publisher finally delivered, and we can see the impressive footage and concept artwork showcased at the event as it was supposed to be seen.

The presentation is hosted by Producer Ryozo Fujimoto and Director Kaname Fujioka, as they explain the game’s living and breathing ecosystem, designed to make the monsters feel like real living behind starting from the Ancient Forest area.

The developers explain how the forest is dominated by the ancient tree, surrounded by high and low humidity areas that are home to entirely different creatures.

We also see what kind of research was done to visualize what each environment within the area looks like. The team actually flew to Australia to see the vegetation there.

More artwork showcased during the panel shows how three monsters – Great Jagras, Anhanath and Rathalos – have been designed, taking inspiration from real reptiles. Developers also worked on tech for fur simulation, skin translucency, and muscle shaders simulating the way the skin moves over the monsters’ muscles.

Monster Hunter World will launch worldwide in early 2018 (before March 31st, to be a bit more specific) for PS4, with a PC release following at a later time.

WRC 7 Crosses the Finish Line in New Launch Trailer

As the Fall season starts to rev up, so does the inevitable collection of annual sim racing titles. First out the game this year is WRC 7 — the official series of the FIA World Rally Championship. And just like any title, WRC 7 has released a brand new launch trailer to accompany the game’s grand entrance.

The trailer, seen below, focuses on a few different terrains: a snow-covered tundra, some tumultuous cliff-sides, and more. Even better, the trailer is filled to the brim with the speed, hairpin turns, and occasional drifting that fans of the series and sport have come to enjoy.

While (arguably) not the visual showstopper that the Forza Motorsport series is, the graphics and textures do look clean between the quick snapshots of each location. With 52 different tracks (through 13 different countries), I imagine it is a challenge to make each location visually distinct otherwise.

The WRC 7 series has seen a boon of trailers as of late, with the latest one showing off both the Argentina and Corsica tracks. Meanwhile, other trailers have focused on some of the distinct cars coming our way in the title — including the Citroën C3 World Rally Car and the 2017 Ford Fiesta WRC.

WRC 7 by Bigben Games is available today. September 15, 2017 on PS4. Check out the trailer below:

The Last of Us Remastered Update Adds PS4 Pro Enhancements, Fixes Bugs

A brand new patch was just released for The Last of Us Remastered and The Last of Us Remastered: Left Behind on PlayStation 4. The update fixes some bugs and exploits that were in the third-person shooter’s multiplayer mode, and also adds new display settings for PS4 Pro owners. These will “offer greater flexibility to PS4 Pro players connected to a 4K display, as well as traditional HD displays through supersampling.”

Here’s how Naughty Dog’s Scott Lowe describes the update over at the PlayStation forums:

We’ve just launched a new update for The Last of Us Remastered and The Last of Us Remastered: Left Behind that introduces expanded display settings for players using a PlayStation 4 Pro system. Starting today, PS4 Pro players will be able to select from new menu options and presets that provide additional configurations for resolution, framerate, and shadow quality. These new display settings options offer greater flexibility to PS4 Pro players connected to a 4K display, as well as traditional HD displays through supersampling. Additionally, today’s patches resolve bugs and exploits identified in Factions Multiplayer.

Check out the full patch notes for both The Last of Us Remastered patch 1.09 and The Last of Us Remastered: Left Behind patch 1.03 below:
