Vary Nice.  I have always had a hard time visualizing a quantum interference  experiment
Easily escaped: The photon was in a closed system, absorbed the moment it was released, relativistically. It 'knew' what it was computing, and returned the quickest/most probable result.
(x^2 = x*x = self-interference <=> sqrt(x^2) = +/- x = uncertainty)
