I love the name of this place, right in the heart of the Castro! Great pizza....loaded with toppings. And tastes great. A bit thicker than real NY style.... but a great pizza nonetheless.... Seriously... the name... it's awesome.

Eeeks. Me thinks not. I've eaten here twice and both times were a strikeout. Food quality was like from a can and service was mediocre. If you're on foot in the Castro you're okay, but don't waste 50 minutes searching for parking to eat at this place. If I'm not mistaken, I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness either. Too many good Italian places in SF to go here.

The Sausage Factory has been very impolite and does not wait on me. I brought somebody in and they assumed he was a nut and denied me entrance. Their service was not the best. The food tasted good, but again, after the first time, they never served me again.

EVERYTHING from a can or frozen. Waiter was really nice but actually apologetic about the food. I am easy to please. This place desperately needs new management. The decor is 70s mirrors/brass and the books and crannies are filthy with 35+ years of grime. The prices are high for the quality. Walk up Castro St half a block to Fuzio for fresh pasta at way less $. Unfortunately Fuzio has now closed down.
