I had a bit of a journey today with #fs2 streams Pull data type. I wrote a mini blog post about it: https://gist.github.com/Daenyth/024c5584da01acabe7a435c8a53c4f3c

Does anyone have a recommendation for a wireless mechanical keyboard?

I want to get:
- Bluetooth
- Good mechanical switches (preferably cherry mx)
- Media keys

Ergonomic layout would be nice but not a deal breaker. So far I can't find anything that hits more than 2/3 of my list above.

This is really neat from a humanitarian perspective.

I'm also totally stealing this for any kind of post-apocalyptic RPG setting that I do.

"Using a similar technique to when I started the Apocalyscotia game I handed a stack of picture cards to the players and said "Take a picture, lay it down, and tell us something about this location" and we went around the table - each player placing their picture next to an already-placed picture - defining a few communities as we went. "

Oh damn that's nice. Stealing that.
I'm playing Apocalypse World again!

Some great stuff in here! I haven't come across something with this many different db tuning tips in it before

Anyone have further suggestions for db tuning in general and postgres in specific?

The more stuff I work on, the more I think that tech debt and codebase decay are somewhat inevitable. It makes me think that the better method might be to try to develop applications with an architecture that makes spot cleanup easier rather than driving yourself crazy trying to watch every single change to the codebase for quality.

Anyone else have thoughts about this?

This is wonderful.
"The Talk" by +Quinn Murphy from one of the Indie+ compilations. Solid advice for getting some in character roleplaying for groups that don't do it enough.

Super cool. I haven't come across situations where I wanted mutual tail recursion in practice yet but it's nice to know this exists.

In a chat room I was in, someone was asking how to explain the benefit of immutability to other programmers. This was my response: https://gist.github.com/Daenyth/22333719e89a641d321f1770cacd6d45
