NPR ran an article that lists the number of traffic related fatalities for 2015. The National Safety Council lists 38,300 people were killed and 4.4 MILLION people were seriously injured. Compare that to the 12,942 people killed by gun homicide, unintentional shooting, or murder/suicide. Also more than 50,000 serious injuries occurred due to gun related violence.

Which is deadlier? I'd say we ban cars.

I mean let's let them go topless. Women have a right to bare their breasts and I have a right to stare at them. Sigh. Pulls out a rope to throw to his mind in the gutter
Today, across the United States, women bared their bosoms for GoTopless Day, an effort to promote a woman’s right to show her breasts in public just as men do.

About time!  Women keep saying they're discriminated against.  Now's the time to put up or shut up.  I had to register for the draft and I made sure my daughter did so too, even before this happened.  You love the country, you want equality, you get drafted the same as every other man.
Two months after the Defense Department opened combat jobs to women, a House panel has voted to also require women to register for the draft. The measure will be debated by Congress in the fall, in what promises to be a very calm and wholly rational continued discussion about the role of women in the military.

Really people?  You gotta complain about diversity on a live action movie from anime?  Because I'm sure a quadriplegic diabetic japanese-african american just wouldn't be the same.
Last week, the world got its first look at Scarlett Johansson as Major Kusanagi in Hollywood’s upcoming Ghost in the Shell movie. The decision has been controversial in the West, and here is what some, certainly not all, of the folks online in Japan are saying.

So police wearing body cameras recording what they say and do. Doesn't that invalidate their fifth amendment rights? Is that legal? How would you feel if the government made teachers or fast food workers or doctors wear body cameras?

MCU?  Where do the X-Men movies tie into the MCU?  I'd love to see an Apocalypse vs. Thanos movie or comic.  I'm sure Thanos wouldn't want to share any power with Apocalypse.
Phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins this week when Captain America: Civil War is finally released. And though there hasn’t been a Marvel movie released since last year, much has changed in the universe in that time.

What the actual hell?  Between the Alaska first graders who planned to kill their classmate by feeding him silica gel pellets, to this.  Not enough respect is taught in the home and not enough discipline by the parents is who I blame.
A tenth-grade girl died Thursday, April 21, from injuries sustained during a fight in a bathroom of a Delaware high school. The 16-year-old girl, who attended Wilmington’s Howard High School of Technology, was involved in a “physical altercation” with a “few female students” on Thursday morning. After the fight, she was airlifted to the hospital where she died.

Perhaps Feinstein won't be so enthusiastic about lax encryption if she herself gets hacked.  Hmm?
Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California has a briefing with the FBI about how it got into the iPhone in the Apple vs. FBI saga. And she's not the only one offered a meeting.
