Please pray for our teammates, Steve and Bekah Orner and their 3 kids, as they leave to return to Madagascar today, in advance of us. Please pray that they would have safe travels, that God would protect their health in the weeks and months ahead, and pray that they would be led well as they return to Nosy Mitsio and re-join the work God's doing there to reach the Antakarana.

This prayer request and more can be found on our website here:

We had a great time visiting the Georgia Aquarium while we were in Atlanta last week! It was really a blast going with our kids and for us too. And it was awesome (especially for Matimu) to get a great clear view of so many of the creatures that live under the sea near our home on Nosy Mitsio!

Had a great time in the Atlanta area this past week! Thanks so much to the hospitality of Daniel and Sarah Zagami and Mickey and Suellen Estes! We especially enjoyed meeting with the Malagasy fellowship and getting a feel for the great diversity of the refugee/immigrant community in the Clarkston area. We also had a great time with the other groups we shared with.

We had a blast celebrating Matimu's 6th birthday yesterday! Non-stop activity from morning until late in the evening. Matimu was really worn out, but he kept his eyes open until late so that he could stretch his birthday celebrations out as long as possible. We were really happy to be here in the States for his birthday this year, to really take advantage of all the fun things for him to do here.

Today was Matimu's last day of school in the US. It was such a great opportunity for him to go to Kindergarten here this semester! We're very thankful to Grandview Elementary and to his teacher Ms. Dunlap and to the great friends he made, for taking care of him well and teaching him so much during his time here.

Check out the first story on our newly redesigned website, a guest post from our teammate, Steve Orner. He writes about "counting the cost" and the tough decision to bring his family out to our place of ministry, together with all the dangers and risks it entails. It's really a great short essay touching on the core of our faith and what it means to follow Jesus wherever he leads us. You should definitely read it!

Had a great time sharing with De Soto Community Church of God this morning and evening! Thank you so much for your hospitality, your generosity, the great food at the potluck tonight, and most of all for standing with us in the work God's doing in Madagascar! We loved all the great questions and good conversations and especially appreciate your prayers. Looking forward to seeing everyone more before we head back to Madagascar!

Spent a great Easter holiday with Lora's family and with mine! It was David's first Easter in the US and Matimu's second and we had a lot of fun and good times all around. It turned out to be a very rainy day so Easter egg hunting happened inside the house, but that didn't slow Matimu down! David maybe wasn't quite sure what was going on though, hah! Here's a few photos (still shots from some video that was taken).
