I made an appointment online and in advance. Upon arrival, the desk secretary told me my insurance was invalid. I asked her to check again, She insisted she'd already checked twice. A call to my provider confirmed that yes, I had active insurance. When I asked her to call them, she gave me a very rude look and informed me that "we only check online, normally."
I canceled my appointment and drove across the street to an urgent care center, where I was seen with no hassle within 45 minutes. Sorry you wanted me to do your job, rude desk lady.

That baby should stop being such a god damned bully.
A Puyallup woman was arraigned in Pierce County superior court Monday, accused of trying to kill her baby because she believed the child was trying to kill her, court documents said.

There should be a Coast Guard one with Chris Costa at one end and a dinky patrol boat dwarfed by Navy vessels at the other.

Today's Woot has a pretty good deal on these targets. We've used them out at the ranch, and they really are durable as hell.  http://www.woot.com/plus/do-all-outdoors-bouncing-targets

Year 8 has been converted. 2 down, 7 to go. However, I discovered on this that the conversions only take me about 3 hours per book, thankfully. Should be able to get them all done by the end of July, which is good, as the original publisher is closing its doors today.

Hey, I know most of you consider me too "religiously moderate" and "tolerant of religion overall," but I do need to remind you that the Catholic Church is still wasting staggering amounts of money to protect their members who like to rape kids. Normally I'd point out all the good things the church does, and that most Catholics absolutely deplore this kind of thing, but at the end of the day, it should be noted that if you're a Catholic, you're a member of a church that likes to protect child molesters who fuck children.
This is commentary from political blogger and cartoonist Rob Tornoe Rev Michael Fugee is a New Jersey priest who was put on trial for sexually assaulting a 14 year old boy and later confessed to

Massive epiphany, thanks to a friend: The song "Going the Distance" is the tragic tale of a dumbass who, in order to impress his girlfriend, accidentally brought his racing horse to a NASCAR track. And is trying to complete the race on horseback, long after the cars all went home. And his GF is pissed.

Parking was terrible. No valet. Restaurant looked more like a corporate office than a place to eat. Waitress was extremely rude, told us she was a secretary and they didn't serve food there. No wine list, no menu. Tried to order the On The House Pasta, was informed that we needed to leave before they called the cops. Breadsticks were pretty awful too - hard, crunchy, cut my gums, tasted and looked like a pencil. Do not recommend this location. The one in Plano is much better.

Delivery took over an hour on a Wednesday at 1 pm, to go one block near the Galleria. Food is overpriced - egg rolls taste like something out of a freezer, crab rangoon were tough and chewy, with wonton dough too thick for a good rangoon. That said, the Beef Yaki Soba was decent. If you have the option, go to Panda Express instead. It's about the same quality, and less expensive. If not, it's not terrible, but Lover's Egg Roll isn't anything to write home about.
